Little question about Rene Auberjonois. Where's he from and what accent does he put on for LoK?

He's from New York and I think he's having a bash at an Eastern european accent like your average vampire usually has

René Murat Auberjonois was born on June 1, 1940, in New York City. René was born into an already artistic family, which included his grandfather, a well-known Swiss painter, and his father Fernand, a writer. The Auberjonois family moved to Paris shortly after World War II.

You can find out more about him by visiting this link (http://www.renefiles.com/facts1.html) :)

hmmm...it sounds a bit like Romanian (i am, so i should know :P ) but more like Transylvanian?

AndaPanda

Last I checked, Transylvania was in Romania :p And about the accent, it doesn't necessarily have to be Romanian, I would just say Eastern-European. Basically, the only thing that stands out is Rene rolling his R's, and not only Romanian people can do that. :)

I don't know if I am right but I think that his accent is something like Hungarian or Rumanian. Janos is a character based on Transylvanian vampire so he has that accent (I love that very strong R in words)

I don't know about Janos's accent to be romanian...althought it sounds like it. And i should know cus I am from Romania but Janos is a Hungarian name all the way. But the fact that Transylvania, although romanian, has a lot of history related to beying part of Hungaria and, hungarians still, silently struggle to get it back (i'm not gona get into this further if you don't mind)...the fact that the 2 cultures mixed in this region...is a good way of mixing accents and stuff.

Janos is the name of an Angel of Protection or something, except it's spelt as "Janus". Suits him, doesn't it?
