Hi everyone,
Im very new to this forum so thought would say hi to you all.
I have only played the very first level of H1 as I never play games on my pc, I have an xbox hooked up to an awesome home theater system....sound is just as important as graphics in my opinion.
Now...as for H2;SA well that hooked me straight away.
It is one awesome game, which I played non stop virtually to completion (obviously getting S.A for every mission and collecting every weapon for me shed of course).
All I can say is that it is my all time fave game and cannot wait till April when Contracts is out.
Does anyone here know whether there is going to be a 'rating's' system in Contracts (like S.A in H2?)
Keep checking the official website but isnt too much info on it yet.
Thanks guys!!

concerning the rating in H2...I wish that IO will not use the same rating in H3...
according to me it's not really cool...you're forced to have the SA rating in order to have bonus,so you have not the same freedom as in H1...you can finish a mission by killing everyone in the level, but if you do so,you'll have to replay it in order to have a bonus (Ballers SD-shotgun-M4)
I prefer to have the freedom to choose what way I'll do the contract, violently or stealthly, rather than being forced to be discreet, event if this is closer of the hitman spirit thant a slaughter :D
it could be cool to have the possibility to finish a mission violently,or to have a mission in which you are OBLIGED to kill everyone.
for exemple,in the third mission in Malaisia,Diana says in the Brieffing that the client ask that will look like a violent housebreaking...and If you want to have the SA rating, you'll have to kill only Sidjian's twin...
I don't think a violent housebreaking should be a silent murder, but rather to look like a slaughter, everyone killed...
that seems logical:)
besides, there could be a "rule" that says that if you want to finish a mission using the brutal way, you'll have to kill every whiteness:)

I kind of liked the rating system in H2, I thought it was cool that they rewarded you for playing the game stealthily. However, I did think it was flawed, like how if you just wanted to have fun in a level and blast everyone away that would screw up your rating.
for exemple,in the third mission in Malaisia,Diana says in the Brieffing that the client ask that will look like a violent housebreaking...and If you want to have the SA rating, you'll have to kill only Sidjian's twin...
SA rating:
Cop 1: Okay, let's see, we have a dead man in his apartment, died of strangulation even though he had three bodyguards with Colt Pythons, a stolen statue that was guarded by a top of the line security system, and stolen money from a guarded safe. Nobody entered the building except the tech guy. I believe this is a simple break and run case, wouldn't you say?
Cop 2: Definitely.
well...if you heard the mission's brieffing, the client wants that the contract appears to be a housebreaking that "turned wrong" ;)
and,besides...the guards had not Colt Pythons (it's HUGE,a Colt Python)but a pocket revolver in .357Mag (I think that it's a Ruger,but I'm not sure)

I must say i loved the ratings in H2 if H1 hade it whould have been an even greater game....the point of the game is to think like an assassin...lol try to pull that in real life(Killing everybody) and you whould stand a chance.

axel well...if you heard the mission's brieffing, the client wants that the contract appears to be a housebreaking that "turned wrong"
I was being sarcastic, the point being if you get the SA rating it doesn't look like a housebreak at all.
and,besides...the guards had not Colt Pythons (it's HUGE,a Colt Python)but a pocket revolver in .357Mag (I think that it's a Ruger,but I'm not sure)
I know almost nothing about guns and was kind of expecting someone to say something like that, but in the H2 demo they called it a Colt Python, so that's what I figured it was.

dude. Axel is hit-and-miss with me. Here I completely disagree. Did you ever go homicidal in H1? YOU COULD NOT FINISH THE LEVEL THAT WAY. It wasn't an option.
And if I want to turn into some sort of fugitive, I'm going to, gilly gosh darn it. If your hit was "too messy" a "cleaner" was dispatched for you and it was game over. However, in H2, you simply got a rating of "Mass Murderer" and went on with your life.
What should bonuses be based on, then? If not how good of a hit you did, then what? How good you looked in your suit that day?
I think giving ultimate freedom of methods is what Hitman is really about. Giving a goal, giving resources, and saying go for it. And then you can choose your own way, and chances are it will be different than the way somebody else does it.
So, I don't think we should have the same ratings. Nor do I think we should have exactly the same scale. But I do think we should have both ratings and scale.

I think they should use the system from H1, because it gave you the feeling that you were working for them and were a part of something else, not the other way around. In H2 it was like,"Oh, 47, what can I do for you? Let me clean your shoes!" In H1 it was like,"Oh, you messed up our plan, looks like you're dead. Tough luck, you should have done that mission professionally." While I liked the rating system from H2, it was too forgiving. I think the mission variety should come from the path you choose, your timing and expertise, your improvisational skills, not just choosing whether you want to blast your way through or not. I thought H2 was trying to be too much. If I want a game where I take out everyone, I'll play Medal of Honor. I want Hitman, not Mr. My-Skin-is-made-out-of-Kevlar.

woops...:o err...I haven't understood that was sarcastic,in fact...:)
concerning the Colt Python, nervermind, but I can give you an advice:don't trust the games on that subject, the programmers often make mistakes;)
(by the way,the revolver could be made by any brand,as there's no particular sign on it)
"In H2 it was like,"Oh, 47, what can I do for you? Let me clean your shoes!" In H1 it was like,"Oh, you messed up our plan, looks like you're dead. Tough luck, you should have done that mission professionally."
yes, that's a fact, but I like to have the choice between having to kill only your target or being allowed to kill some persons besides in order to make things easier, not necessarily making a slaughter

that's correct, but you still have the opportunity to finish a level by making a slaughter, even if the mission is considered to be a failure,it's possible, that's what I tryed to meant;)
and...I don't have understood what you meant by saying "Axel is hit-and-miss with me",could you explain ?:)
