I want to reserve HC as fast as humanly possible, but I can't make a descision.
I know this is kinda falling on deaf ears, as the admins have only posted their own topics, and not read the members'...yet. Maybe I'll get lucky and they will.
I have no idea what Contracts will be like (aside from a ritualistic overplay of the two previous games, as if they were the perfect football game). All that I heard is that it intends to be the darkest chapter yet...which, judging by the meat hook and screenshots, is coming along nicely.
But with Hitman2, I played both PC and PS2 versions, and there were no differences (that I could tell).
I'm leaning towards PC, for a few reasons.
1) In H2 there was a file you could edit (keyboard.cfg or something like that) that would allow you to make hotkeys for stuff...I remember point-to-point teleport, forget the other thing.
2) In C47 you had the debug mode, which had alot of nifty tricks to it.
3) The biggest difference from console to PC was the cheats, for H2. When you entered cheats, you'd almost always drop your gun on PS2, which led to certain disadvantages.

So, I want to know before I go out and find out I got screwed out of something just for wanting the game so badly....will there be any special features for a specific console? Will the game preform better on a modern PC than a four-year-old PS2?
Any input would be great. Thanks for listening.

I agree with everything you said PC wise and what made it better.

Last night I went to GameStop to reserve and they asked which system. I froze trying to think. I own it for both PS2 and PC and I decided PC for this ONE REASON: It comes out a whole lot earlier! And if you are as crazy about Hitman as me, then you want it ASAP and PC is the way to go. April 7th compared to like April 25th on PS2. So yeah, PC all the way!

Yea!!! PC ALL THE WAY!!!! I think PC will definitely be a better choice, first because it will come out a lot sooner, and second, it just fells better playing Hitman on the computer!! and also they are I believe making a whole new control system for hitman on PC so I am also looking forward to that But be careful unless you have a P4 and a nice graphic card, it is not wise to play on the computer, cause if you end up with choppy image, it will ruin the whole experimence. Because from what I heard, it is not a game every computer can handle. But still, no matter which way you put it, PC I believe is still the way to go.:D

I upped my graphics card to suit DX2 (risafrackin pixel something stupid nvidia...), so that shouldn't be a problem. RAM has never been a problem, with half a gig in the comp. Processor runs at 2200mhz, with little backround drag, as I'm running windows 2000. If at 2200mhz I have a problem running HC, I will stand on the corner until I have enough for a new processor...but I have a feeling it will do just fine.

Oh yea, I mean that is already pretty advanced, I only run a P4 and 1800 MHz with an ATI 8600 at 126 mb as a graphic card, even that I think will be more than enough to Run H3C if not, than not many people can play it becuase they won't have a fast enough computer, so I don't think it should be a problem, I mean the game will require speed and graphics but not to a extrem extant:D Maybe a P3 and a Geforce 2 will be enough. If you can play H1 than there should not be a problem

The Hitman game will again use the Glacier engine, which have been used in the previous 2 Hitman games. And was most recently used in Freedom Fighters (http://www.eagames.com/official/freedom/freedomfighters/us/home.jsp) published by EA. So grab the Freedom Fighters demo and it it runs smooth, you can be pretty sure that Hitman3 will run smooth too.

Also, I have a PS2, and a PC with AMD 1800+ XP and Geforce3, and I'm going for the PC version, easily. I think this kind of game is better for the PC, your opinion may vary ;)

It's ture, the hitman series was made with PC in mind, and the best experence will come from PC, so PC all the way!!

Yeah it truly was made for PC when you think about it. And because of that...shouldn't they just full out PC it and make it online? YES! THEY SHOULD! Now what exactly you'd do online I don't know...having more than one Hitman in a level wouldn't be as cool but..I don't know something. Like one guy plays the hitman one plays the evil russian dictator who has to hide lol. Ah, well. I tried.:)

Yea, it would be pretty confussing, cause it would be like 323,546,4566 hitmans trying to kill each other or the target online. LOL:p come to think about it, it would be pretty freaky, like everywhere you look there would be another hitman trying to kill you!

If u read an article i found somewhere u will find that although the textures are slightly better on Xbox/PC apparentley the motion blur make the Ps2 lokk the same and it is supposed to run faster/ smoother than Xbox/PC but if u got a good PC too it should go OK are there mods!

Just like Mean Guns http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1800300187&cf=info&intl=us

Also, there has already been a good Hitman movie. Maybe not as dark and gritty and with a slightly happy ending. "Leon The Professional" probably best summed up by, "The film shows us the dark world of the hitman. It is not a glamorous picture. Leon is poor, can’t read, has no possessions, has someone else manage his money, and, when we meet him, he is lonely and alone. Certainly not like James Bond." http://efilmcritic.com/review.php?movie=1068

Maybe 47 isn't has helpless but still shows probably waht his life would be like to an extent. I fyou haven't seen the movie. It's good, you should see it and Mean Guns is great.

But then again, so is Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.
Yeah Jason Statham would be cool to play the Hitman.
Transporter 2 should be really good.
Cellular might be good. If not interesting atleast.
http://www.stathamfans.com/frms/frmprojects.html

Jason's best movies to date are Lock, Stock , Snatch and The Transporter.

PS2 versions of Splinter Cell, Mafia and many other good quality pc games stink in every possible way, game world and level size, object amount, model, textures and animations, view distances, etc. Unfortunetly for us pc users IO didnt make diferent versions of the game for diferent platforms and the only diference seems to be texture wise so i guess both console and pc versions will be pretty much the same. Performance wise console games are usually very reliable and run good while on pc it depends alot on your hardware configuration and performance.PS2 is an outdated platform but if the game is designed to run on it its the developers responsability to develop a good, optimised and polished product. Im afraid pc users will be afected by the PS2 age and limitations but if you own both platforms you can always try the demos (if there will be any):) .
