Can I remove a mode from a weapon?

No.

If you want different mods, you must find a new weapon and add the mods to it. So, be very certain about the mods that you add to bonus weapons, because you only get one instance of each bonus weapon (HellFire Boltcaster, WidowMaker SMG, Red Greasel Hunter Pistol, Assassin's Pistol). Cannot mod the Toxin Blade or Dragon's Tooth. Don't need Silencer mod on boltcasters.
