I absolutely love the site design. Usually I don't care much for Flash sites, but this is an exception.

i saw some shots. it was a shot with a bunch of dead swat/police in a hall way and hitman's coming up the stairs with a shotgun. umm... he didnt kill them did he? because well remember in hitman 2? you never kill police or nato troops because it's inmoral and they're not part of the enemy's system. i hope what i saw was done by like some mobster, this way i'll enjoy killing him more.

also saw a shot of police being stranglled. i hope the player got his rank from hitman dropped to psycho for that move lol.

I was looking at the pre-order specs on gamestop...
Anybody want to tell me why you're releasing the game on a stoner holiday? Or is it one of those things we should just...figure out for ourselves? ;)

I am pretty sure it will, I mean I know A lot of people who runs graphyc cards alot worse then yours and it is still possible for them to play the game, shouldn't be a problem. But just have a powerful CPU just in case the it is needed.

The music. The flash animation. The screenshots. The wallpaper! The buddy icons! Trailers! Characters, story, locations!

Well done guys, you've really outdone yourselves this time around. The Contracts website is even better than the Silent Assassin site was, and I spent many an hour on that one. Really looking forward to this game, keep up the great work.

If I understand the background correctly, Hitman Contracts is sort of a prequel, and takes place before the events of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. At this point in time, Tobias (the Hitman) is just starting out at his ruthless profession.

You're half way there. Yes, about half of the game is events pre-dating H2:SA. However, at the very beginning of the game we find 47 bleeding in the hotel room somewhere in France. The story then begins to pre-date H2:SA BEFORE 47 goes to Sicily and his life as a Hitman then. You play through those memories or rather the vivid and allusive dream sequence until the story catches up with H2:SA where it touches on those glorious moments of revenge, and then continutes on up unto the point in which it leaves 47 bleeding in a hotel room somewhere in France. AFTER which, there is about another 50% of game play to go through.
The whole part about "Tobias" (47) starting out his career is a little miss-informed. 47 started his career in H1:C47. Contracts is filling in the blanks and continuing on with the story to a possible but most likely unfulfilling demise to 47. Who knows...they may just keep him alive and continue the series (THE SMART IDEA) but now-a-days who knows what they're capable of.

I sincerely hope they don't kill him off. I personally feel that the game still has great potential and there's no reason for it to die so soon. Perhaps they could expand with a "scenario editor"; or introduce a co-op aspect. These are probably pretty steep aspirations, but I'd hate to see the game die, it has become my all-time favorite game for the PC.

The violence is exquisite.

Thanks for the response regarding the time frame of the game too, should be an interesting ride when Contracts comes out.

I think it would be cool if 47 almost dies but is given new organs and such from a more recent clone and ends up living linger. Don't know who whould put the organs in him or why they would but just thought it would be an easy way to extend 47's life and the game series for at least one more game.

It's ture, IOI and Eidos have already regerstered a website under the name of www.hitman4.com I don't think the website actually works, but i think that at least shows some kind of sign that the hitman series will continue. How I don't know, but let's hope it is somthing good.

I killed them anyway. Although in Hitman 2, it shows that he had some moral regrets. In the true profession sometimes you have to take out the good guys. That's why generally moral people don't get into the profession. I think everyone has to be a little bit immoral to play this game anyway. Furthermore, I like that there was a choice to kill whom we could kill. It was an excellent design idea to include silent assassin - mass murderer ranking

ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! Flash is the most EVIL thing to ever appear on the web! :mad:

I wish Macromedia would blow up for putting cr@p like this out. Nice way to disable that schtuff. Edit your userContent.css file to include:

embed[type="application/x-shockwave-flash"]{
display: none !important;
visibility: hidden !important;
}

Since 47 really is a clone (Shh! as if you didn't know already...) then they can get away with simply never telling 47s death. He's supposed to be "the perfect human", now, right? Simply say he can't die naturally and you're set. Heck, if it means I get more Hitman games, I'll take that explanation any day.
