i was exited when i bought my Commandos 3 game but i have already completed it i think it is way to easy
is there nothing else i can use
i need more Levels so a new level pack would be fantastic

you are not the only one thinking this. many ppl before you camplained about this.
the first details about the game (long time ago;) ) said that the game would have over 20 missions. so this was very disappointing.

also a lot of movies have been taken out. a trailer of GameSpot or IGN showed a cinematic movie in the game. also very early press reports told about funny movies in the game.

all have been left out...:(

the developer's have never responded on this forum. we've had some yahoos from Eidos here but that was a while ago. i would say this game is "dropped" and it was "dropped" several months ago...

i think it was dropped halfway through production, and pushed out due to contract or some such... a pity really

false, the main language is english at Pyro HQ.

I can tell you that Sr. Perez Dolset the CEO at Eidos speaks excellent English as I've spoken to him at trade shows. Someone from somewhere reads these forums. Of that I am certain. Long ago in the C2 forum I mentioned that a good weapon for C3 would be a garrote so all commandos could kill. Viola! Thief has a garrote in C3.

Activision and Mad Doc Software are good examples of developers immersing with the fans in thier forums. They regulary talk to fans and answer questions and take ideas seriously. In fact in certain games they directly used several ideas proposed on forums in the next version of the games. And they didn't mess with success either. Subsequent versions of their games weren't so alien as to be lesser quality. They left interfaces and controls alone and added more feature/missions to the next version instead of having less.

C3 was simply the bastard child of time constraints, budgets, lack of creativity and the fact that it was the last Commandos and teams were on to other projects so why did they have to top C2?

It's a shame but not at all unique in the industry.

That sucks if C3 is the last then the game business looses a big game i love these games and these commandos its just a perfect gaming idea to bad that money often destroys the good ideas
also id like to say that the thieves carrot was great in C3 but levels are to few :(

didnt u see the selling numbers over 3 million copies sold!
Why leave Commandos???

Personally I dont think eidos nor pyro actually cares what we think about.

i havent seen any of the devs on these forums for a long friggit time and ive been on these forums for over a whole year now visiting them almost every day(didnt bother making an account)

If they really care so much about 'pre-budget' (b4 the game is out) than 'post-budget' (how much $$ they earn after the game is made) then why the hell even bother getting us all excited about them and screwing us over like a bunch of stupid jackasses.. dumb****s.

Thats what I thaught before Mr47. But at the Praetorians section we got loads of modding support. Jare (I believe the project leader of Prae) explained us how to decode almost every file type!
Pyro does comes here, but they want us to do some work before they help (pretty fair I think.)

so they 'released' the game as only 10-11 missions to 'force us' to make more missions? friggit idiots. Oh sure i'll make more missions but uhmm.. thats kind of savage because i was expecting their own-made missions from their own perspectives, cuz what they had back in C2 and both C1 games was fantastic..

I suppose with the release of the magic mission creator it revolutionized the game.. but we are going to need a lot more juice than just that to be able to mod the game like crazy.. I looked around for a way to unlock their files.. i found the program that they used to lock it.. but you need a password to unlock it, cuz i wanted a peak at the models :P

Any ideas on how to unwrap their locked up model files and stuff? :P

I say you should start modding Commandos 2 first. It uses the same code as C3 but has some small diferences.

Go to:
http://faqy.vip.sina.com/download.htm

press the Commandos logoo. D/l all the stuff except the music file.
One of the files is called bsmb.rar. With that you can decode almost any file of the game.

Good luck understanding the Chinese. It cost me some time too:D

well, actually i did some stuff with dave and snowden... not much tho :P just changed some weapons.. but this was for C3 demo i believe, ROFL :P.


yeah, thanks for the site.. btw the music file is okay:P, i dont like chinese all that much but hey the music is good.. some of their music is bad tho =\.. (not commandos, i am talking chinese, rofl)

not quite true.

1.) there is a part of code in the bas files of c3 that can be used in c2 too. the characters will look indoors the same as in c3.

2.) the c2 indoors are fully rotatable. but i only know the code for it in the c2 demo. :(
