Obviously there are lots of forums elsewhere devoted to TR fiction and artwork. But that's not the same as having one at Eidos :)

This is true. I think it's a capital idea, and I would like to see such forums here.

Only the admins can beseech the great old ones who cause this forum to be if such a thing is possible, what with all the lawyerly ramifications and such.

I would like to congragulate Seth on his drawing of a braid. You can draw braids even better that Eidos seth. The only problem with your drawings is in the bottom left drawing I can't tell if Lara is wearing a shirt or a bikini top :D

LOL, it's actually the outfit we saw Angelina Jolie wear in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, in Cambodia. So it's a tank top-type thing, but sometimes I ask myself the same question!

I like the idea because especially on fanfics there is not enough on the net. It's nice to hear about Lara's adventures but I like different stories too like the xmas ones and stuff like that.

In answer to your question above, bombard the admins with email requesting same.

This would be a good thing, there is a vast amount of TR fanfiction and fanart being produced out there, but none of its here, on the "home" forum for Lara Croft.

Something new would be nice to tide us over to the new game.

Core and Eidos haven't really leveraged the fan base in order to do a promotion blitz for AoD, although some efforts like the site kit have been made. There are folks out there who do tremendous amounts of creative work to celebrate their heroine/anti-heroine, and best of all from the corporate bottom-line viewpoint in promoting the product that pays the bills that provides us our hobby, such labor is free. :)

So everyone who is even mildly interested in having a forum solely devoted to Tomb Raider fanart and fanfiction, pleaaaaaaaasssssssssseeeeeeeeee write to the admins, even if it's only one letter. It would be something new and fun.

EDIT> to do that, just go to the Eidos Forums homepage, then find the link titled "Forum Leaders" in the bottom right corner, and there you'll find the Forum Administrators.:)

A fan fiction forum could have a link to the most famous TR fiction site, Tales of Power and Beauty - which, for those of you of a nervous disposition like GoranAgar (whom I'm sure has read my stuff and found it wanting in family values), doesn't feature any of my fan fiction :)

That assumes bombarding the Mods with emails would have the desired effect. Bombard the admins instead. Even they don't have the final say-so, but have direct access to the mysterious entity who does, a legendary figure reputed to have posted once just for the fun of it.

I wasn't sure what to do. There isn't a thread already suggesting that this place start a fan fiction forum anywhere else that I can find. Should I have just started a totally new thread even though there's already an existing one? I assumed I'd get told off of that ...:rolleyes:
