Any get this problem????
BTW you can get around your food being deleted by level just one slot open in you inventory then it won't delete it...

Sorry But I am not sure I follow what it is you are trying to say about food disappearing between levels.

I dropped 2 piles of a bunch of stuff at the Mosque at both entry/exit doors, over 20+ multi-tools.....so I could pick up new ones. Also dumped loads of biocells, etc.
I came back from Arcology levels & only had 4 multi-tools left in the pile! I was p*ssed, & wondered whether I would have enough multi-tools...then had scavanged most already.
I did have enough, but was without in a few places.
I can’t remember exactly where or when but I do seem to recall leaving some items at a level juncture where I could pick them up later. But, when I returned back from another level they were either not there or in a lesser quantity.
One aspect I loved and took serious advantage of in SS2 was using the elevators as my personal freight carrier. Any one else try this?
Items I could not fit in my inventory, but wanted to bring along, I would individually carry and load into the elevator that would bring me to the next level. Items such as additional weapons, supplies and such. The odd thing was when you would arrive at your destination level your cargo previously located on the elevator floor would suddenly drop from mid air and hit the floor. Still pretty cool.

Well if your inventory is maxed out and u travel to a new area I get this loud emergency beep noise and my food is then gone from my inventory... One other person I have seen has reported the same problem... Now if I leave one space emtpy in my inventory then my food doesn't dissappear from my inventory, nor do I get that loud noise...
Hmmmm I follow you now. That is odd. I don’t recall that happening to me but I rarely carry food along. I am on new play through so I might give it a try given the chance

If there are too many memory-consuming objects in the level, the game will usually delete some of them to avoid crashes, slow framerate, etc. This is the way a lot of games are programmed. I'm guessing that when you dropped all of that stuff, the game deleted some of them because they were using up memory. The game is already a memory whore due to the expansive levels, boxes, NPCs, sound effects, etc. already present.
This is why enemy corpses or broken barrels etc. in a lot of games usually sink into the ground or disappear after a specific time period. Kinda like, back in Baldur's Gate, enemy corpses would disappear after 8 game hours upon leaving the zone.
Just my guess on what happened. Then again, it could just be a bug.

Here's one other funny note:
I was in area w/mag rail gun & I had a shock prod laying on the floor....I went & dropped another item there...it fell on top of the prod and the prod DISSAPEARED right before my eyes & was gone forever, lol.

I've had that with the food too, after some examination I found that it only happenes when you store food in the extra inventory slots the strength biomod adds. Keep them in a origonal slot and you shouldn't have a problem. :)
