It's been a reasonable amount of time since the release, and still no official word from the developers about the Console mode.
I've seen plenty of notes made by .ini editors on here, yet certain details in the game structure seems indicative of an easier hack. Any news from the game Developers about an easier cheat method? Something where you could easily Summon items like in the first game?
I know this has been mentioned before, but I'd like to keep the topic open since the Developers have yet to comment officially.

Yea let's hear from ya, Peeps.
One of the great things about the original Deus Ex for the PC was the abundance of cheats. The player could run the game without cheating, cheat only to get out of tight spots or just plain go nuts. The user could make different personality 'profiles' based on the ability to cheat, too. In my view the original Deus Ex game for the PC stands as a great example of a game whose longevity is increased by its cheat codes.
Deus Ex: Invisible War for the PC is a second worthy chapter in the Deus Ex series. Decent storyline and all to keep the fans interested. One of its biggest disappointments however has been the *lack* of cheats. I've seen one hack in a travel.log file that's great if you want to play the game as a white female. The default.ini hack is nice but god mode and easy kills are really all the player gets from that one. There are several posts telling how people can create an elaborate, menu-based cheat system that puts yet another item in the user's HUD to act as a distraction. In short while some of these are useful they just don't stack up to Deus Ex: GOTY.
Come on, Devs. One of the things we all hope for in the sequal to a game is at least parity with the original game for things that we've found good. How about a little parity here? If the nature of the game engine is such that the console cheats we knew and loved are simply impossible to implament then tell us. If they can somehow be done please tell us how to do them. A list of commands and 'summonable items' (including the secret weapons) would be good, too.

I wonder if the Developers peruse these boards, or if they're working on a second patch at all.
...or better cheats.
