[SPOILER] why does nosgoth have a little raziel fetish?

almost every speaking character in the game (and in sr2 too) say something along the lines like "what are you little soul" and "little raazzzziieeelll" "run little demon!" "come to meee little razieeelll" and stuff like that.. do they have a little raz fetish or something..? raz isnt really little.. :P

Most of the people saying those lines are the possessed demons... a.k.a. the Hyldens (at least to my knowledge).

In that case, the Hylden Lord, or the whole Hylden race, knows that Raziel is the free soul who is in their way (for some reason?)

So it's not really all nosgoth having a Raziel fetish, it's more like the Hyldens having a Raziel fetish... but that won't matter much now would it? :(

well, Ariel knew of Raziel because they had many encounters (notice there are a few times Ariel was alerted by the appearance of this strange blue creature)... Actually, I don't think Ariel ever learned Raziel's name, did she?

About Turel, of course he knows him, because they were brethens... And Raziel's killing of the other brethens wouldn't be too pleasing with Turel now would it? Besides Turel did get possessed (notice the green eyes... which brought me to this question... (Defiance Chapter 11 and onward) Did Raziel get possessed when He was fighting Kain? His eyes was glowing green at times...)

Anyways, Raziel was an important player, prophersized by the murals and all... that's why most people do know him and what he's after.

I try my best to answer... but I don't gurantee you they're right :)

of course! they all keep putting poor raziel down because they are all jealous of his sexy blue looks, even kain! thats why he threw raz into the abyss in sr1, he hated the fact that raz got all the vamp girlies, and kain got none!, same with his brethen and this whole time traveling must restore nosgoth plot is just a cover up for kains jealously and hes trying to make out hes not jealous by telling raz about this whole destiny thingie, janos and his buddies started the war with the hlyden not over the wheel of fate, but what they each thought how sexy raziel whould look (both races have ideas on how their "hero" would look..) and vorador got even more jealous so he made the reaver to trap raz in (he lied when he said he didnt know what the others did to the blade, he did it aaallll long, not the others, they were too busy swooning over raziel) and so, finaly, its all come together and the elder god was jealous of raz too, cos both the old vampies and the hylden both worshiped raz's looks and well lets face it, the elder god isnt exactly model of the month is he? and so this whole sodding plot as been about the good looks of raziel, and not the pillars or reavers or scions of ballance or redeemers or destoryers, just how sexy little raziel is! :rolleyes:

they're trying to retaliate against his sexy blue looks by enforcing upon him a :eek:-envy.

EDIT: his eyes glew green cause he's baptized the reaver (and thus, himself)... when moebius got purified by the reaver, he was suddenly able to see the elder god... perhaps Raziel's eyes have similarly been purified? .. though on the other hand, it's just something the world did to enhance the fact that Raziel was meant to be the hylden savior... as Kain is quite obviously the vampires' savior...

wait.. did I say 'quite obviously'? ... I mean 'extremely vaguely'. ;)

I would have to agree that Raziel does get possessed a little by the Hylden.

Look carefully next time you defeat Turel. After turel's soul gets in a trail of green energy soon follows, and then is aparent in Raziel's eyes soon after. When he faces Kain, his eyes glow green every time his voice raises, and even the reaver glows green too. Raziel says so himself "I must confess, the maddness of this place had somehow fueled my rage.

Raziel didn't listen to Vorador, he didn't resist it's influences.

Raz is small, lol, every single character (exept Ariel?) is taller=) Zt looks quite fragile (look at those bonies))) And his behaviour is mostly like that of a teen-ager.

I have to agree with you there, even Sarafan Raziel is taller then his Reaver of Souls self.

(side thought: has anyone played the midget version of raziel in SR2? *chuckles* i found it quite amusing :) (although it does cause problums) And you'd have to have played it with the pip-squeak voices, that is just hilarious!:D )

Hmmm. Did Raziel get possessed "a little" in that fight?

Spoilers down maybe, but just my opinions, so not truly spoilers...



It is true that Raziel absorbed Turel's spirit (or powers) but that doesn't necessarily mean he got a little Hylden splashed on to him. However, in the two heroes battle, Raziel does indeed go a little "mad", he is not possessed, but what Vorador warned him about and what he says afterward happens to him: the place, so filthy of Hylden possession all around, has affected Raziel.

If you think about it, Raziel is the only one that can't be possessed by the Hylden, because he is the only one that truly has free will. Even Janos gets the green flashes later.

The reason everyone has a little fetish for Raziel: Probably because he is out of the wheel of fate, and probably everyone that is aware of it wants to be out of it.
