I searched everywhere, and even on the forum, but it was inconclusive...
So as far as I know, PC cheats aren't the same as the ones on the consoles...
Does anyone know any cheats or codes for the PC version of Defiance? I would love to see the toon kain and toon raziel in action...
Please please please :(

This is a little bump, I'm doing this because I realized noone asked of this...
I know that Chris mentioned about PSM magazine publishing the cheat codes for Defiance... but tha's for PS2 only, or at most the XBOX also.
So will the PC codes be published someday? or possibly when?
I relaly love to see the toon version in action....

A friend with the PS2 version showed me a code that caused Kain to put away the Soul Reaver and pull out a cardboard tube, and say something to the effect of "Fear the tube."... I would love to find how to do that on the PC, I was laughing my butt off :)

There's a PC version? All I see are the X-Box and PS versions.

Yes. I just got it, too. But the controls are so impossible. See these threads to know that it's almost unusable for me:

I didn't know where else to post this but is any1 else having the same problem as me with the defiance +3 trainer by Pizzadox? I've got version 1.1 of defiance and the trainer doesn't seem to have an effect on the game, can someone please help.

Trainers and other cheat programs will generally only work with one version of the game. Unless someone makes one for v1.1 you'll only be able to use the cheat codes.

Version 1.1? There's a patch out now? How did I miss that?

The patch is available on www.thelostworlds.net, and was created by Nixxes Software BV (http://www.nixxes.com), the same company that also created the original PC conversion. (It will soon be on their website as well.)
Please note that there is no supported by either Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Interactive, or Nixxes Software. It however does fix various things in the US release of Defiance (which where also fixed/added for the UK release).
It fixes some crashing issues, fixes various minor functionality issues, adds a few bonus images, and important to this thread, adds things like the toon cheats, etc.

Yeah, I JUST found it.
It doesn't say if it fixes the sound issues, where the sound was horribly distorted, scratchy, and jumpy like a junkie at a disco.
Hey Jurjen, it doesn't mention anything about fixing the distorted, hissy, cracking, jumpy audio. Was that fixed, or will it be? And if it's too complex due to hardware configurations, could give me some tips on how to adjust my computer to fix it myself?

As some people figured out after a while themselves, sound issues are related to resource conflicts between the graphics card and the sound hardware. (The graphics hardware/drivers is mainly to blame for stealing all resources away.) I once posted a link to the Creative site talking about this problem.
On most systems which have the problem the problem can also be reproduced by simply running any simple DirectX application at a high resolution and playing sound at the same time. People have been able to fix it by adjusting sound/graphics hardware acceleration settings, etc.

I did the Creative tips, and I ran my sound board at the LOWEST acceleration setting, as well as my vid board at one lower (cause anything below that and Defiance didn't recognize my card), it didn't help.
I have even turned off a bunch of XP Pro programs to retrieve memory, as well as turned off more programs. SO far, it hasn't helped.
The only thing I can come up with is maybe I need more memory than is recommended since I'm running XP Pro, because someone told me the latency between the HD page file, and actual RAM can make a HUGE difference, even though they seem miniscule to us.
Also, I know there are 3 hardware devices using the same IRQ, my Vid, Sound, and some other device I don't know what it does though. But unfortunately, my motherboard won't let me manually set them how I want.
I also updated my drivers and hardware drivers. I have updated everything that was humanly possible to update :)
The other thing I noticed was that the longer I played the game, the worse the sound and video got. It started out "playable" but eventually the frame rate was so bad it looked like a strobe light playing an animation, and the sound was nothing but static.
PS. Thanks for your help anyways Jurjen, I know you're busy and all with other stuff and you aren't a tech guy.
