View Full Version : Question about Drakan 2?

Is Drakan 2 very much like Tomb Raider? And is there a Drakan 1 also? These are the very important elements that (besides Max Payne (2) and Splinter Cell which are the only other games I have) a game that I want should have:

* A strong, beautiful woman in the lead
* 3-rd person shooter (I get a headache of those Wolfenstein, Doom-games ... although they're good, I feel really sick playing them after only less than half an hour)
* good controls
* Not too strong, although my PC runs Max Payne 2 without any problems, so ...

Thanks for answering my questions!

Bye for now

I only know of 'Drakan - Order of the Flame', but it's not like Tomb Raider as such, although you are controlling a character, the controls are different, and the character herself is a little stiff; not so fluid as Lara. It should run on any PC that can run the original TR's upto 'Chronicles'.

You might also try Bloodrayne (think I spelt that right). :cool:

Drakan 2 is similar to TR, at least to AOD (its good aspects, that is). It's rather difficult to explain why, but IMO they are similar.

Ah, found it. Drakan 2. Lara Croft seems to be moonlighting :eek: No wonder we have to wait so long for each Tomb Raider game. :mad:

Drakan 2, awsome game that never really got the attention it deserved. You play a Rynn who can jump, climb, roll, duck and just plain kick arse in combat with a variety of weapons and spells. You can level her up in magic, archery and melee (melee being favored but the others are good to have) You can travel by ground or AIR on your dragon companion Arokh. You are able to purchase various items and even call Arokh to help you if need be. The enviroment and overall setting is very good and has a nice feeling to it and many times you'll stop finding yourself just looking around or riding on your dragon (the worlds are HUGE) The screen Dhama posted is from a cutscene, below are some of the flying and action.

I've been a fan of Drakan for years. It's beautiful and fun, and you get a dragon and big swords. What else do you need. OK, I'd prefer 2 to be on PC as well, but hey.

It's WAY better than Bloodrayne. ;) Even with...nm. :p
