There will probably be another patch.
But, I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
Probably see it with the UK launch.

I think so and they'd better put out a no CD patch, too. The copy protection tango the game does on level load is ridiculous and can crash the game.
As a legit owner of the game I think this is a must.

What? Do you think this is honestly going to happen? Wow.
Maybe they should just make the game free to download from their site, as well.

No, it's unlikely they'll remove it. However, changing it to only check on the first level/gamesave load of a session would be sensible given how often you have to switch levels.

You have to report the bugs before they can make a patch. You have to be specific as you can too.
Most of what I have read, and posted about, have been graphics issues.
The more I get into the game the better the game gets.
Overall I will say that the game is a damn fine product and I am enjoying it. A new patch would be great if it addresses a lot of the graphics issues.

A no-CD crack doesn't stop SecuROM: the binary b****. Unless someone knows of a way to edit the proper .ini files; and, apparently no one does (not even Eidos). My application keeps alt+tabbing to desktop -- making loading and level transitions one minute long. I do, however, have a thread that some might want to look at. At the end of it is a tip for changing certain code in the Default.ini. Thread is: "Takes a minute to load."

If you haven't already, add your voice to this thread:

With any luck, Eidos will see sense and either (a) reduce how often the CD check is done (b) follow Epics example with UT2003 and remove the CD check after the game has been on sale awhile.
Don't count on it though.

I have seen some game companies release a no-CD patch after a while, especially if there are problems with legit customers. I recently installed Arx Fatalis on a friend's machine to show him the game, and whereas when I bought it you couldn't get the game to run from a burned CD no matter what burner and software you used, we noticed that after the newest patch it runs with no CD in the drive at all.
Personally, the biggest beef I have with copy protection is that I HATE the noise of the drive spinning up. Thankfully I have a nice quiet LiteOn drive now, but before that every time the copy protection was checked my Creative DVD drive would try and show off how fast it could spin the CD, making a sound like the drive was trying to escape from the case vertically. Does great things to the atmosphere in games like System Shock 2.
