It's from Emil Pagliarulo, ex-designer of Thief 3. He has since been replaced by Randy Smith (correct me if I'm wrong). There is also a shorter message from Warren Spector at the bottom. This was posted a long time ago (05/20/2001). To be honest, it makes me scared about the way Thief 3 is being designed because as so many have said, if it comes out like DX:IW the original fans are going to reject it. Anyway, some very interesting things are mentioned for those who actually care that much about Thief 3 that they'd want to dig up info like this ;)

well, i guess it just needs to be said. all of these websites you mention are well known by the community here. however it may be found useful to someone who comes here looking for info on t3 so i dont see anything wrong with it :)

if it is that old and out dated I wouldn't rely on it.
As proven with DX:IW.

T3 will be the same dumbed down x-boxificated peice of junk DX:IW is.

This is really sad. Great titles, killed by X-Box.

I am worried about Doom3 and HL2. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

Luckily, not every game will be going that way.
Watch for Stalker, hopefully this will live up to it's hype.

BTW - PCGamerUK gave DXIW 92%. They are pretty reliable IMO. Have you got DXIW Orumph? What is it about DXIW that makes you think Thief3 wil be so bad?

Yes I do have it. and you can trust a large majority of the bad posts in those forums. They are numerous and everyone, including those that love the game claim to have problems with it.
They are very very few that are getting what they deem acceptable frame rates, which is hard to prove over the ammount of problem posts.

Be prepared for monotonous level loads and slow Frame Rates.
And that is the worst part of the game. If it wasn't for that. The rest is pretty petty complaints.

As much as others would like to say it's my system. They are wrong. It was rushed and coded terribly. As has been said elsewhere. This game needed another 5 or 6 months of coding and testing. But, Eidos/IS just wanted the Xmas money.

I dont know about you guys but Im getting fed up with Consoles. They are infringing on PC gamers territory. They better not make T3 a crappy port from a console platform.

Although DXIW may have been rushed, hopefully Eidos will learn from their mistake of rushing the PC port...

I won't be so sure. I won't be jumping on the T3 band wagon as quickly as I did DXIW.

Call me skeptic. Believe me, I hope I'm wrong, but everything about things so far, leaves me thinking I'm not.
