Hi guys, got a problem on my brothers computer and he is running me. I call it oh me oh my! Anyway it does not install the icon on the desk top, also it will not connect via internet to my computer. I have know firewall running what so ever at one time my game did show up on his side but it said we had differant versions. So I gave him the patch to make them the same, but I have never showed up on his game again. So we uninstalled the game and tryed again. But the computers still do not connect or his game is not installed correctly, Im thinking its his game because I did show up on his side one time. Im running xp home could the problem be on my side? We are going to uninstall his game again and also take out the files in the regetry. Any help on this would be very apreciated.
Do you connect via a LAN or via tcp/ip?
It could be that Win XP internal firewall is blocking some ports.

tc/ip internet, and according to my xp program the firewall is off. But its a funny thing now that you brought the ports blocking up. That could very well be the problem even tho xp says its not got the firewall up. But Im not sure how I would find out? I cannot get rogerwilco to show up either on myside. So some ports may be blocked any way I can find out?

there is a product on the web called ActivePorts
if you run this it will tell what ports are established, what ports are listening and so onThat should help you identify what ports C2 tries to run on....
I don't play in a networked environmnet so i've never tried, but i do work with networks....
if you find the port then try to telnet to the other PC on that port
at least that will tell you wheter or not the required ports are blocked or not
