I love how when you finally meet the real NG on your second time through the Air Terminal in Egypt, you find out that she doesn't know you and that she is a little whiney brat. Is that a knock at Britney Spears?

I took out my baton and knocked her out. THe guards got upset, so I knocked them out too... but the other gaurds didn't care much. Maybe they agreed with my actions cuz they thought the little snot nosed brat deserved it.

What does the NG stand for, by the way?

I did think it was interesting how the NG Resonance AI construct was developing it's own personality, and to some degree, taking over the real NG's business (firing her advisor) :p

But yes, the real one pissed me off too.

DAMN! I forgot to take her out properly when I played! The best I could do was pick up the doll in her trunk and throw it at her. :)Next time I'll make sure to have my array of weapons at the ready!

NG has that sexy, cocky attitude about her.... what a turn on! But I find it very, very lame that after talking to her AI construct for so long, there's no way of actually saving the "real" her... and NG's role in the game seems to end with some arrogant replies from her.

Mister Blue

I guess that's all part of the probable swipe they're taking at the whiney, preppy, popstar...

Heh, after you put 7 rounds of .9mm in her head .. instead of leaving the arcology go back down to the NG hologram and talk to her.

=)

Ok, NG, Britney, whatever...

What I want to know - when I've met real NG it was another person. Than, who was standing behind NG's AI? Helios?
But why when I talk to NG's AI next it became so stupid? (she talks only about concert).
During the game she was more intellectual, but finaly something happened.
Where is the answer?
script-writer lost his idea about NG? :-)

Because the main goal of that AI is to advertise.

HAHAHA... I left the real NG alone at first... but later, because she was really annoying.. I reloaded the game and put a bullet through
her head while she was looking scared after I killed her 2 guards :D

I laughed quite a bit at Alex's text when I told the NG-AI that she was dead. ;)

I met you, the real NG-resonance and now you are dead!! You're a spoiled lill brat the world can do without!"

but it indeed seems the AI is stuck in an infinite loop or something.

of course she doesn’t know you, you only talked to her AI Replica, who even states that her personality changes with who she is talking to.

I was a little bummed honestly. I liked the NG AI, I talked to it all the freaking time, told it everything I had the option to tell it. Then I met the real one and found out she was a brat. What a letdown.

Did you really expect anything different? :) Apart from being a snotty little brat, she was a ho for the WTO (now there's a line :) )

Excellent pic Blacktastic

I thought the real NG would be a lot more of a brat, actually. The only thing she said that actually ticked me off is when she thought that 'her people' would be better at taking out templars than me.

" Oh Tra-la-la-la-la. I think I'll fire the b*tch, right now."- that was my favourite NG AI quote

Heh. I figured the 'real' NG wouldn't know me as the sim I interacted with throughout the game was just a sim. You might as well expect Britany Spears to know you just because you played one of her CD's. I had to admit some amusement at the 'real' NG's attitude, though. No gratitude for saving her boney butt, just a total 'me trip.' If it's a swipe at disconnected, overpampered pop stars it's a good one. ^5, Eidos!

All that aside who cares about the 'real' NG? Her construct helps me get money and *that's* useful.

:D

I thought PC Gamer's comment on the N.G. construct summed up its role in the game quite well:

"The unspoken irony is that the most inspirational symbol of humanity's hope for the future, and one of the gunuinely nice characters you meet in this sequel..., is artificial-- a perfect copy of an imperfect original."

This is, like, all spoilers. Also, I can't use spoiler tags in a multi-line entry (it doesn't seem to work) so I'm going with the old classic "spoiler space".

I had the impression that the NG AI, and NG herself, was another method employed by the Illumanitti. Consider:

* The WTO is the group who has control over the "average businessman"
* The Order is the group who exerts control over the religious type.

What major group of the population did we leave out? The rebellious teenage crowd who has no interest in religion or business. How do you control them? A Pop star.

Add to that the fact that the AI was *VERY* interested in anything I did (it was basically an information gatherer) and anything I told it I would get back "Wow! That's great Alex" etc.

When I told the AI her manager was taking bribes she fired her boss on the spot without getting any additional information.

In fact, the only time the AI ever disagreed with me is when I told it that the Illuminatti was ruling both the WTO and Order, to which the AI told me to keep my mouth shut. ("Don't go spreading rumors like that Alex, you might end up dead." There's a threat if I ever heard one.)

I was dissappointed when this theory of mine was left in the dark and never realized. I was 100% positive NG was a tool of the Illuminatti.

Comments?

I still haven't made up my mind about her response to the whole Illuminati thing. Most likely the Illuminati programmed her to dismiss theories about the Illuminati, but saying that you're putting yourself in danger makes it seem like she believes you. Maybe she really is worried about you -- you never know.

The NG Sim is not Helios, but they have a common ancestor.

During the game she was more intellectual, but finaly something happened.

The chick you met in the storage area of the flight bay was the 'real' NG Resonance..not her Sim. The NG Sim is an electronic device that is normally connected to a larger network that runs its AI software. When it seems stupid, it is because the unit in New Cairo is damaged and disconnected to the source of its intelligence.

Also, the NG Sim is a marketting tool designed to make people want to love NG Resonance and anything she does and buy anything she sells. The Sim has to be charming and nice; that is its primary job. NG Resonances primary job is be as young and as attractive as possible for as long as possible, and to otherwise do as she is told by her handlers.

The NG AI is definitely not part of Helios. If it were the AI wouldn't have had the reaction it did when Alex tells it about the illuminati. This definitely appears to be a proprietary construct of the wto.

It's almost enough to make one dispair, though...

So J.C. somehow pulls the plug and society collapses and what survives?

lawyers
bratty, parasitic pop stars
talk show hosts
cockroaches

And so it goes.

Ya know, the topic title does say *spoiler*. But, I'll play along anyway.

What's best of all is talking to the construct right before you go talk to the real thing. I wish I remembered the exaxt phrase, but her talking about not being aware of herself being in the building (or it being under siege, or her being in danger), I found hilarious. She actually sounded somewhat indifferent, not that I can blame her.

At first I was a bit let down when I met the real NG. The AI version was so friendly and flirty, it was nice, then the real deal was a *****.

After a while though, I couldn't help but just crack up though. Its such a blatantly obvious shot at Britney. The public image is all squeaky clean and polite and kind, etc....and when you meet the real thing she's a completely spoiled *****. Still laughing when I think about it.

If only NG had said something about "f-ing vamp"ing....
