In Defiance, after fighting Janos Audron, he escapes still possessed. Could it be that he was still possessed in BO2 when he was thrown into the Hylden gate? Could he be the main boss of the next game?

a) I think it's very unlikely... he was held captive to power the machine... Also Janos was supposed to be possessed by Hash... but Hash is the Sarafan Lord... I don't think that the Hylden can simultaneously control two bodies (or in the matter of fact, souls)...

b) Yes... I guess he'll be a boss in the next game... Because the demon dimension should have twisted him pretty bad...

But... then again... he may be good...

EDIT: Or... yes, he may have been possessed but only if it was a part of the grand Hylden scheme because then they'd get an indestructible AND super-super-super-powerful vessel...

There is a spoiler-laden answer to part of this question in the Defiance section of my site. Look at the Q&A with Amy article.

Janos is not possessed in BO2, the Hylden Lord has already finished with him and then put him in the Device. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him again in some sort of hideous form, though, due to his time in the demon dimension.
