How many side quests does DXIW have?

Hi all,

For people who have played the full version - how many side quests are present in the game? (i.e. none, small amount, moderate amount, large amount)

By side quests I mean optional missions largely seperate from the main story line. i.e. This random guy on the street wants you to go find him X item and he will give you X. Or this person tells you about how he heard there was a hidden weapon in the area of X. You can go look for it and find it then. etc.

But judging from the fact it only takes 10-15 hours to complete the game, I would guess not very many?

I got the game on the 4th and played for maybe 4 hours each on the 4th and 5th. I played ALL day each on the 6th and 7th and I am not nearly done. I will probably have to lay off for a few days now.

There is PLENTY to do. I don't understand the 15 to 20 hour figure at all. I play to SEE the game not to BEAT it. I play to explore, to read all the books and data cubes and to talk to all of the NPCs and to contemplate situations. If that is what you liked about the first game then you will find that here as well.

PS: I also often save and replay a situation or senario in different ways. That may have a bearing on why it takes me so long.

I took the game as slow as possible taking one route through the game the whole way (The Order). This means I didn't go back and see what other ways I could have beaten stuff at the time. I beat it in about 11 hours, and I seriously don't see how I could have gone any slower to make it last longer. But in terms of side quests... I'd say probably 4 or 5 in each area. Makes a total of like, 20 the whole game. And then you add on the actual story-based-important missions and you get a total of probably 30 quests? yeah, bout right.

Notice I said up here I went through the whole game one way though... I did this cause I plan on playing it at least 2 or 3 more times to take it all the ways. So knock that 11 horus up to about 30 or 40 hours for me.

My actual game time was 10:03, but with all the reloading and loading screens, it was probably closer to 20 hours. I tried to do every side mission, and check out the environments as best as possible.

i'm only on the second mission, and i would guess i've seen about 25 or so
