Where i purchased the game they won't let you return it once you open it. Will Eidos take a return? I paid 50 bucks to play it now, not play it once the patch comes out. Yes i did a search, sorry couldn't find it. Thanks for the help.

Isn't there a part in the license agreement that says "If you disagree with this, send this back to place of purchase for a full refund"? I'm sure you could just mail it back asking for a refund (Mail it to Eidos, obvoiusly)

i doubt there's anyway to take it back. the ability for people to simply buy it, then copy the discs and DL a nocd patch pretty much requires such a policy.

Yeah, it's so stupid.
People who don't like the game won't be able to return it (thus making them wary of any subsequent game from the same company), while pirates are just going to log onto mIRC/FTP/Emule/whatever and get it anyway.

If your in the UK they are legaly binded to give a refund if you ask for it.

Just tell them that and I am fairly sure they will cave in. Dunno about other countries though....

your right, its definitly a case of the minority (pirates) ruining it for everybody else. but it actualy worked out good for me. when Dx came out, somebody got it for me for christmas. i opened the box to see what was in it, and after reading the manual and stuff decided i didn't want it. so i took it back and they informend me that once i opened it, it was mine. so i figured what the hell, might as well play it. turned out to be one of the best games i've ever played.

if you catch a clerk at the right moment you can get away with returning it. Remember,, there are a lot of stupid people in this world. If you don't succeed at one store take it to another. Try to seal it back up so it doesn't look opened. Some will look really closely, others won't look at all. If you can get a refund and wish to, good luck, I hope you do. I would if I could, but mine looks like it was opened.

Sell it on ebay. Its going for $35-45 now but will be dropping fast. So you'll only be out a few bucks.
