So Shiny! Ah!

The full game seems to run just fine for me, at lower resolution though(sigh...), but the problem is the lighting and reflections. Every major light source in the game seems to shine so bright I literally have to shade my eyes, and every lusterous (metallic, etc.) thing in the game reflects so brightly I can't see things on or around them. The effect is even increased when it goes into scripted conversations, where it is normal for a split second then enters into its crazy mad shiny stage, which is extremely annoying. I have tried to turn down the gamma, brightness, and contrast, but this doesn't seem to work.

My specs are:
P4 1.7 ghz
512 RAM
128 MB ATI Radeon 8500le
Windows XP Home
All drivers have been updated to the most recent for the Radeon.

Any help for my problem would be greatly appreciated. Adios.

You could try opening your default.ini file in the /System folder, find the line Overbright=True and change it to False. I don't know if that will fix your problem, but it does make the game darker.
