View Full Version : Anyone order from DVDBOXOFFICE?
I ordered my copy on Sunday and still havent got an email saying its been shipped yet. I got an order confirmation but thats it. I am wondering has anyone received there copy yet from this store or is it in shipping. Let me know, I am getting worried :(
I've emailed them today to ask for progress.
They are in Canada so possibly they didn't get their stock yesterday?
If I hear anything I will post.

I emailed them about another matter a few days ago and their customer support was quick and helpful. They seem like a good company.

I'm in the same boat as you fellas. Some people have mentioned that Canada usually gets games a couple of days after the US, so hopefully they'll send it off before the end of the week.

If you log into your account it says the arrival date was Tuesday, December 2 2003. I dunno, I just hope someone gets word soon. I'm going mad here waiting.

just a quick question, how long to you think the game will take to arrive in your letter box? I read some where on the site their site that it could take 4 weeks. If that's the case I'd say forget ordering...

That's if you choose free shipping. If you pay it's much quicker. For instance, it should only take two day's to deliver the game to the UK.
DVD Box Office say they don't have stock. I hope that will change in the next day or so.
Paying £7 for DHL delivery I am hoping to have the game early next week.

I just ordered my copy, and I live in Australia. I am paying for the DHL courier, when do ya think I should get the game? Do they ship during weekends? (It's Friday here)

It's still Thursday here. Most likely they have their warehouse in Ontario or B.C.. In either case it says 3 business days. If you're lucky and they ship it tomarrow(Friday my time) and they consider Saturday a business day you'll get it on Monday your time. Otherwise it could take as long as next Thursday if they don't ship it out tomarrow.

I'm in Australia, and I've just ordered DX:IW from EB Games in the US. I'm not waiting until January 23rd for the Australian release.
Based on price, I should have ordered from DVDBoxOffice. It's $82 Canadian, as opposed to $82 US. Both prices include express shipping.
Other than price, I can in now way compare or rate the companies, as I have not dealt with either one before.

Well, it seems that way anyway. I logged into the dvdboxoffice site and under orders, it says it shipped this morning. I'm slightly worried tho cos I chose free delivery (i really am a cheapskate) so i hope it arrives before xmas...it's actually a xmas present so I'm not allowed to play it bv4 xmas anyway, so as long as it arrives b4 the 24th I'll be happy!

It says the game was shipped on Friday (Canada time) when I log into their website. I( never did get an email from them saying that it shipped. Oh well, hope to get it by Wednesday or Thursday next week.

Mine shipped today, but like an earlier poster, I went for cheapskate free shipping. Anyone have any idea how long that will take (to UK)?

Yup, ordered mine on 15th November with DHL option. Got shipping confirmation today. Hoping to receive early next week. Got confirmation from Amazon that they are shipping KOTOR to me today as well - I will not be popular with the girlfriend!

I ordered an item just over a week ago with the free shipping option. It took about five or six days from time of dispatch. Hopefully it'll be about the same if it isn't affected too badly by Christmas deliveries yet.

They just said the credit card wasn't authorised, which makes no sense to me because it should have worked.

I ordered DX:IW from EB Games on Thursday night (Australian Eastern Standard Time, which is 15 hours ahead of American Eastern Standard time).
I received an e-mail Friday morning asking to confirm my order, which I did. I have now received an e-mail Saturday afternoon saying that my order has been shipped. Hopefully I will get it this week.
Final price is $78 USD, including shipping, not $82 USD as I mentioned in a previous post. Still more expensive than DVDBoxOffice, but at least a quick turnaround time.
Now I just have to wait. :(

They probably had to sign in to the website to check. I wasn't even sent an email about my order being declined until I emailed them about it. :rolleyes:

You should get an email telling you that they have shipped it. I got mine on Friday.

I just wanted to ask that if your receive address is a PO box, does that matter when it says, your product is Billed To: your PO box? (Even though you use a credit card for payment?)
Oh and sorry to sound like a fool, but where on the site does it tell you that the game has been shipped?

"Sorry, we can not find any orders for your account in the time frame requested. If you feel this is an error, please email orders@dvdboxoffice.com.

Does it mean, that my order hasn't gone through? because in "Open orders" it has my order . It says when their stocked arrived and when I made the order.

Ultra_Bullet, Mine's in the same state as yours. When I emailed to ask for progress they said they were awaiting stock and otherwise there were no problems. My guess is they didn't have enough stock to cover all backorders. The 'arrived' date on the order seems to be just a statement of the release date. There does not seem to be a way to get an up to date stock status on the web site.

My copy arrived this morning (I paid the extra for courier), but seems pretty good service. At work now, but can't wait to get home and install!

or you asked for a too short time frame. (usually, the default setting is 30 days. if you ordered your game more than a month ago, try 6 months.)

well folks just off the phone from dvdboxoffice, my copy has indeed been shipped, apparently on late friday night. The lady on the phone told me that because I've chosen free delivery, it might take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Yikes!!!! Why didn't I just pay the extra for the courier??? All I want is it to arrive by xmas cos I'm at uni at the moment so can't play it till then anyway, but it won't be very merry if I can't get it b4 then :(
however, she told me that because it is coming up to xmas, and there's more post people on the go, it might be here in a week. here's hoping!!!! I'll let u know anyway, for any other skinflints out there who chose free delivery!
By the way I live in Northern Ireland - anyone else out there waiting for this game from this beautiful country or just me I wonder????? Cool if i'm the only one.......

If you have ordered by courier you can check the status of your delivery on the DHL website. You need to get the shipping ID from the "more info" bit on the filled orders page at DBO.
It's actually been quite fun tracking my packages movement across continents. Shame on DHL East-Midlands for holding the game for a full 24 hours before processing it! :rolleyes: :D
Man, I need a life...
Anyway, my copy is "with courier" so it should arrive sometime today, hopefully this morning. :)

I am pretty pissed atm, since I just got an e-mail this morning from Dvdboxoffice, telling me that they had run out of stock of the game. However they never told me when they were getting new stock and roughly when I would get my order product.
I feel like cancelling the order since God knows when I'll get the game (I want it this week) and that when I order the product I was told on the website that I should receive within like a week or so, and I haven't so really, stuff Dvdboxoffice!
Prolly gonna get flamed, but I am pretty pissed atm. When I settle down I'll prolly think more logically...

Mine came today :D bu nobody was home :( so they are going to redeliver it tomorrow morning. Doesnt matter anyway. I cant play it until christmas :mad:. Maybe I can come up with a excuse, I will just tell them I have to test it seeing it came from another country. I ordered on the 26th of November, it was shipped on Friday the 5th, and my copy just arrived a few minutes ago. :)
That would be 13 days, I think, if I've got my months correct. Oh, and I was using DHL courier.
God, I've waiting two years for this... just waiting for a download to finish before I install.

Hi Ultra_Bullet, I ordered the game on 15th November. It was shipped on 5th December, and arrived 8th December (paid for the DHL option.)
Using the courier option, once the game comes into stock again, you should get it pretty quickly going on my experience.

I ordered from EB Games Thursday last week, and received it Thursday this week. $79US.
Now if only I could find the time to play it.

Did you order the courier option, if so I will only take 3 working days to get here. But on the third day, make sure you or someone in your house is home. Otherwise they wont leave it. No one was home here and it took them an extra 2 days to redeliver it.

well now I am screwed. I ordered two copies of them game (don't ask why, it's a long story) and I tried to cancel one yesterday, but aparrently they've processed both orders and can't cancel any of them. So I sent them an e-mail complaining that I never received any e-mail confirming that my orders had been processed (which is true, I never got any e-mails for any of the orders). Do you think it'll work, I mean aren't they meant to send you an e-mail to confirm that your order has been processed and another on when it's shipped?

Yeah, I did courier shipping. But now it seems that www.gamesmarket.com.au decided to import the game and didn't tell anyone about it. They have it in stock right now, so I could've just ordered from them and got it sooner (but not cheaper ;)).
