I've read a lot of posts from people who have very poor performance of DX:IW. Is there anyone out there who owns the game that has good performance and enjoys the game? If you could include system specs that'd be great too.
My System
Win98SE
AMD Athlon (don't know the number but windows clocks it at 1.1GHz(incorrectly I think))
512 MB PC 2700 SDRAM
ATI Radeon 9800 (non pro)
The demo ran great on this system, and i enjoyed some aspects of it.
Anywho, please let me know if you get good performance with the full game.

Specs:
Pentium4 2.0ghz
GeForce4 Ti 4400
512mb DDR Ram
Windows XP Home
70 or so GB free HD space
The game goes in and out for me. More often than I thoguht I could run 1024x768 and it still be playable (though framrate still isn't awesome). Other times I foudn it slow down so I had to bring it to 640x480. It doesn't bug me that bad though, the games been too fun for me to really care.

Good Performance with 1024x768, full detail settings, no AA, no bloom.. Mouselag off, default.ini fixed up a bit.
Specs
Athlon Xp 1800+ (266FSB)
512MB DDR333
AIW Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
Windows XP
7200RPM 80GB HD
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 5.1 (GREAT sound, good surround implementation in game)

my machine ~
pentium 4, 2.2 ghz
geforce 4 ti 4600 (128 vram)
512mb ddr ram
win xp
120 gb hd (only 20 free, eee)
The game runs relatively well for me at 1024. A few instances the FPS dropped to ~15, mostly in bigger open areas (spoiler - like on the insulator elevator, for one - /spoiler). But, since the level design is kept at small, intimate levels and settings, it's generally not a problem. I did have to turn shadow details down a notch (well I'm not sure I had too, but after my demo experience I figured I might as well, since eh, I don't really care about shadows).
Since it sounds like I'm one of the first people to pick up the game, anyone want a review? Though I haven't finished it yet (clearly). I think the reviewers 10-20 hour estimates are skewed; I think the timing in game is off. It says I've played for only 3 and a half hours when I'm positive it's closer to 7.
Seems I'm the only one out there with the guts to try this game with a geforce 3 Ti 200 or anything lower than a geforce 4 D: The demo played fine on low res so hopefully the game will too. I want to play this game so badly (and can't afford a new card) I'm willing to deal with whatever lag comes my way, because I am not missing out on this game damnit. Tomorrow when I have the game I'll describe the performance on my much-to-be-preffered system for all those scared to run it on thier comps.
My specs:
Geforce 3 Ti 200
P4 @ 2GHZ
512 Megabytes of DDR Ram
Enough HDD space :)
Btw, if you have a Geforce 4 MX series, don't bother reading my performance assesment, you CANNOT run the game. Sorry. I laughed and laughed at my friend who has an MX and can't run it (we've had many disputes over who has the better comp).

I'm playing the game at 1024x768, bloom off, mouselag=0 and i'm loving it so far. The framerate is a little chunky in some spots but for the most part it's great.
Specs:
AthlonXP 3000+
ATI 9800 Pro 128mb 3.7 Catalyst drivers
Asus nforce2 A7N8X 2.0 motherboard
2x512mb of Corsair pc3200 DDR RAM
WindowsXP pro
My only complaint so far is after playing the game for long periods of time it starts crashing to the desktop on me with no error message.:( First time, this happened 3 times in a row in the Vox Club after playing for about 3 hours straight without a problem and i had to reboot my PC to get it to stop. (maybe i was playing for too long? But you wouldnt think that would matter) Then after the reboot i played for another hour until it crashed again in Lower Seattle. I have great cooling in my case and i checked my temps, they werent abnormally high at all. Hopefully this problem gets attention and a fix is in the first patch.

I was using the 3.9's but they had some problems with some games i was playing (one of them being Call of Duty) so i rolled back to 3.7's. The catalyst 3.7's have been the best drivers i've tried yet since i got my 9800 Pro.
