Everone who said that the demo sucked just didn't play it right! When I started it for the first time I also was a bit dissapointed, but that was because I didn't realise how much choise I had. First I killed them all with a flamethrower. But after that I searched another way to do it and that was possible. This shows how muchs choice you have and this is only the demo. And the graphics are really good, just don't play the demo with ,,bloom"on. But the shadows, the physics, the character models and the HUD are just great. After all I just wan't to tell you that you should play the demo over and over again.
Ion Storm did a great thing and I can't wait anymore, I want the full-version!!!!
So....you're happy with an average FPS that has a little bit of openendedness then....

I played it with ,,bloom"of ,,vsync" of and lightning medium. It looks great and I can play it just the way I want it to. :D
The game is dumbed down with a craptastic interface but its not your average shooter because you can go through it without killing anyone
Try that in Unreal or other games. Still it is a couple steps backword I think :D

Thats just the cool thing about Deus Ex, play it the way you want it to play. I prefer to play a game without killing to much people and trying to find a smart way. DX2 just offers it all!! :D If you like shooters you can play this game but if you like to do it without to much noise you can do it too.

The music in the bar is GREAT. It sounds a little bit dark and
mysterious and a little bit punk. I love it, that band is great.
Never thought a radio could look that great!
Except for taking away the choice to upgrade your character in certain aspects: his/her ability to use weapon types effectively or to pick locks or bypass electronics with varying degrees of skill, or hacking into computer systems with varying degrees of skill, etc. And how to tactically engage a situation well, a white phosphorus rocket deals with a crowd considerably better than an ordinary rocket would.

That was neat.
But it doesn't make up for the stunning lack of cool ambience music that so perfectly graced the first game.

The music sounded great in the bar, but when I saw the trailer I was a bit shocked. Deus Ex ain't a shooter and the music just was a little bit to loud. But just as I said, in the bar it rocked.
