A simple poll

As is it stands I don't recall Crystal Dynamics ever releasing a voice soundtrack to any of the Legacy of Kain series(I wish they would).

We all know that Legacy of Kain has always fallen back on it's strong story and addictive voice talent. Who can say they don't love Simon Templeman's voice from the start. Taking in his words like wedding vows.

I have all of the games on cd but most of you aren't capable of recording the sounds in the same way I am, so you rely on programs to do it form them.

I set off sometime ago(6 hours to be exact XD) to make an addon program capable of making a playlist to be used in pssound or some other program. But I lack the capabilities of making an addon program becuase I lack the source behind one to look at and quite franklin I am not in the mood to learn becuase I haven't sleep in nearly 5 days and I am starting to get in a pretty distrubed mood and slightly belligerent. My motor skills are starting to go.

What I can do though is hand make the playlist file. This has some advantages and disavantages.
Advantage:
I.You can listen to the complete soundtrack on your computer.
II.The playlist file will be aranged properly so that you don't have organize, which in its self can be a grueling task.

Disadvantage:
I.This is not easy for me to do.
II.I might make an error while arranging the script.
III.I might leave some rouge sound files out.

That is were you the voters come in to choose.
If I make this I want people to really appreciate this and not be an <exploit and deleted> about it.
If you don't want to see this or really won't care vote no.

Lemme break this down for you, just so you don't call me a moron like you did to all those people who supposedly fell all over themselves trying to get your attention, okay?

"Exploit": To take advantage of, misuse, abuse, or otherwise mistreat for personal gain.

"Expletive": A vulgar expression; swearing; cursing; vile language - also used to denote highly descriptive explanatory language, although popular usage has moved the accepted meaning to encompass only vulgar words.

Just thought you might like that pointed out, being that you seem to enjoy stabbing at everyone else's faults. Turnabout being fair play and all that, right?;)

I'am not sure what you're talking about,are you saying you'll make like a m3u or something like that file that will allow us to play the music/effects off our cd's? or are you saying that you'll rip the music/effects/voices off the cd?
what are you saying & if you're able to get the music/effects/voices off the CD then i'd like that info so i can do it myself.I LOVE the music/effects/voices in the LoK series.I vote yes to this stuff.
Also are we talking bout PC or console?

OK,after voting it seems this is for ps2,this isn't of much use to me since i refuse to get games for my ps2 other the gran turismo & king's field cause thats the ONLY platform they're on.

Sign me up for the playlist. I have had the Blood Omen 1 WAVs sitting around on my computer for over a year. They've managed to survive a Windows reinstall and a format. Despite this lengthy period, I still only have about half of them sorted. I know nothing about the technical aspects of PSound or audio ripping so I can't help much with that until PSound comes out with a program that allows one to extract the audio in WAVs like their Blood Omen 1 program. When that happens, though, I'd more than happy to help sort and organize the files, if necessary.

Until then, keep me posted. If you happen to be planning on making such a playlist out of BO1's audio, well, I might be able to assist with that...

Beause I don't want to deal with any copyright laws. I will not be posting them in their audio format. I will be using the distributing the playlist which allows you to stream sound from the CD.

This is will use a .ppl file the is compatbile in psound.
This will take a bit of time because I have no program to search and compile for which means a great deal of the values I enter will be trail and error. The reason I found a great deal of the sound files is that they were stored by themself.

A fellow board member(ironiclly one I had to yell at to leave me alone) has informed me that ppl is not it's own unique playlist format and that it is widely used and he even gave me the link to a program that can edit/convert/play .ppl files. With this new found knowledge people might be able to use their favorite windows/apple/linux^_^ media player.

Good news I finally put 9 years of college to good use, I was cleaning and I came across an old relic and long forgot major :D
It is a .dat disassembler and with enough tweaking I should be able to bring it up to date a wreck havoc upon the gaming world. ^_^

I have managed to make a playlist file that is 1.66gb XD
The entire data content for defiance is only 1.31 gb XD
But it may be the fact when I extracted the data from the .dat file it may have lost compression.
