it was old...very old.

Before they had put in manteling or leaning...or polished the framerate and graphics. The guys at Ion Storm are practical jokers and are simply screwing with our oh so fragile emotions.

Of course I have absolutely nothing to support this theory, however, i have something more important.

Hope that this game will be everything we wanted

a simple post from the devs saying "guys, dont worry too much, this is an old demo we released just so you had something to play with while you waited for the game....all the things you are so worried about will be in the final version" would suffice to stop the flaming and anger that is directed towards IS.

Since that hasn't been forthcoming, I can only assume this is akin to the final product.

i realize that it's highly unlikely...however, that demo was a joke. No way in hell a FPS in this day and age wouldnt have leaning....

I don't really think IS has anything to gain from playing with our "fragile emotions," but how else can it be explained why they would release the demo without tweaking the .ini files to optimize the performance of the PC version?

Maybe they had a "mean-streak" and decided to **** over the PC fanboys and see how much they screamed ;)

They'd be lynched by Eidos for scaring away the customers

Hey there curtisNY, I really really wish you're right. But I also really doubt it. I just hope that IS takes all of our concerns to heart and fix's a lot of the problems with patches. The major problem that needs fixing is the poor performance of the game on almost everyones systems. If IS can fix that, the large majority of us will probably buy the game, get used to all the other shortcomings, and more or less enjoy it. I've played the demo about 4 or 5 times now. While things like the universal ammo still bother me, if the game would run well I'd buy it. Even though it's not a true DX2, it does retain enough of the DX flavor to like it. But it has to run better. That's now my major complaint. I hope IS takes this seriously, and can do something about it. I'm hoping that if enough of us don't buy it, IS will then do something about it.
