View Full Version : Revisiting locations in SR3 (suggestions and stuff)

There haven't been very many locations that were visited in more than one game. Yes, there are the pillars and the Oracle's Cave, and a tiny bit of the swamp around Vorador's mansion, but that's about it. There are some locations, particularly the weirder ones, that I would love to see revisited by Raziel in SR3. These are, in order of preference:
Dark Eden (And we could have Malek as a boss fight!)
The Eternal Prison (ohhh, yeah. Raziel would fit right in there.)
Avernus Cathdral (A chance to explore realms other than the Spectral and Material)
Malek's Bastion (Animated armour would make interesting opponents. Perhaps they could even transcend to the Spectral realm in another form?)
The Demon Dimension of the Hylden (a reunion with Janos?)
The Lost City (More murals, more plot development, more undead.)
Can I hear everyone else's ideas on this?

Hmmm...interesting little lineup you've got there. ;)
Dark Eden would be cool. (I posted something similar to this in your other thread about Malek). I believe we will see Dark Eden in SR3 only it won't be Malek we fight there. It will be Turel. He didn't make it into the final cut of SR1. Amy said that she was going to aim towards more focus on Turel and how he "eluded" Raziel in SR1. I, like many others, are totally psyched to witness Turel in action. :p
The Eternal Prision is good, however I don't feel that it has a pivotal hold on the storyline of SR. (Merely because Moebius is in the series). :p. I think it could be referenced but not actually visited. Perhaps it's origins will finally be disclosed.
Avernus burned. I would assume that the cathedral ultimately did as well. (I could be wrong). If Raziel travels here, perhaps it will lay in ruins and the focus onto Hash'ak'gik will be reborn because Raz could stumble upon the underground altar. I think this is where the "puppetmasters" identities could come to light.
Malek's Bastion would be interesting also (I thought it could actually be Dumah's silent city in SR1). It could be possible for Malek to return there as well. Depending on the time travel, perhaps both instances of Malek (human and armor fused) could make an appearance.
I don't forsee any dimensional travel for our little blue guy. Perhaps time travel to the hylden's early city in Nosgoth. But I don't think to their dimension.
I do agree with your lost city reference. I would like to see that along with perhaps the Citadel to pop in at some point. :)

Man, now you've got me all extra psyched about SR3. It would be a dream come true if you could explore the Avernus Cathedral.

I think Turel may end up being more than a brother to be slayed for his soul, seems to me that his role may have changed greatly since he was left out of SR1, maybe he'll be on Raziel's side or give him information.
Idea:
Turel was the one who destroyed Raziel's clan and when Raziel finds out....... watch out. But I think they'll talk to eachother first for a while before just duking it out, he seems more important now.

one of my past theories about Turel was perhaps after Kain's order to kill Raziel he informed Turel of everything that will happen in the future (SR1, SR2) and Turel is now waiting in another time period for future Kain and Raziel to emerge into and help them do what needs to be done (one of Kain's little plans to help them along)
(note: I'm talking about the SR intro Turel, not evolved)

I think it could turn out like a brother vs brother fight , assuming Raz is not the only special one and that Turel also has magical properties , 1 uses it for good , another uses it for bad , classic aint it ;)

My thoughts exactly Lozza. :)

iF kain was to die or be reborn like raziel i think that it could be good. But then again it could be crap cause Kain is a very resiliant vampire . But think of this. If raziel was to devour Kain's soul and then become the balance guardian as well as the guardian of the pillars and possibly some extra funtastical powers.
what do you think

i was just thinking, maybe Turel does go back in time to meet up with Raziel. Takes his clan with him and Raziels clan also travels back in time. Both clans evole into
raziels clan=Ancients
Turels clan=Helden
?
there is a flaw to this theory though. The Helden wasn't vampires, and the Ancients were not vampire until they were cursed. But who knows. Maybe, just maybe.
