Hi. I have an ATI Radeon 7500. When I run, the Soul Reaver 2 Demo, I see nothing but black for a while, then a completely blue screen, which fades to a completely black screen. Then I hear music which I assume is the BG muci for the main menu. I clikc somewhere, then dialog starts, but still no graphics. I ran the program again, got to what I assume is the menu, clicked somewhere and the game exited. This can only lead me to believe that those where buttons in a menu. Is this a known problem?

I'd like to thank you for replying so quickly.

" You have an ATI Radeon 8500 and Soul Reaver 2 is all blue?
This was an issue with the original release of the game, patching it to 1.01 or 1.02 should get you fixed up. "

Well, mine's not a 8500, but I'll assume it's the same problem. The problem is that this is just a demo. I don't think there is an way to patch the demo. Am I out of luck, unable to try out the game before I spend my money on it? Well, at least I know that it would work if I bought it. Any further help or suggestions would be greatly apprediated.

Same problem with my 9200 ... I don't think it's a radeon 8500 thing ... it's just ATI ... But still, I love plaing SR2 in 1024x768 with FSAA =D

Yeah, unfortunately there's no way to patch the demo as far as I know. The game should be pretty cheap at this point anyway, though.

I have a friend that owns an ATI7500. After installing the patch, there's no problem at all. So don't worry about buying the game ;)

had the same problem once, let me tell you the reason i had it,i had a virus and had to reinstal windows, now the virus was gone the only problem that came along and screwd it up for me was this,i could not properly instal a newer version of directx,i could instal it no problems where reported but windows still ran on the directx version that came with it(win ME) so i got pissed and formated the hard saving only my importent stuff like savegames and pics form the Lok series and music and stuff like that and instaled Win XP and now everything works well no glithes no nothing,oh yeah one more thing leave the graphics driver that win XP chose to instal for your graphics card do not instal any drivers form ATI or and specialy from Nvidia(they should be shot for their Detonator drivers)

That sounds like a controller error with/or directx

run the windows update and make sure your devices are functioning properly and download the latest hardware compliant direct x software
