Who was Max Chen?

in the characters menu on the site they list May Lin Chen, was her father the guy in charge of the Red Arrow Triad? or the Luminous Path?

Max Chen was Red Arrow leader. The Lucky Money was owned by the Red Arrow and he was in a 'office' behind some mirrors in that club.

It's kind of surprising to me to learn that the Deus Ex creators intended him to be a co-conspirator with MJ12, what with the troopers tearing up his club in that one part. Maybe that's where he broke ties with them.

I don't think he was knowingly involved, was he? He was friendly with Ms Chow and she was in cahoots with MJ-12, so I think that's the connection. It sounds to me like Max has taken some unfair blame.

A leader in full view probably shows that he is fearless and likes to bare his chest. :p
Oh and being that I've lived in Hong Kong, I have to say playing through those levels made my ears bleed.

If I remember correctly, Quick is the leader. Tong is the brain (which means he is the real leader, but Quick didn't realise it, or he is intelligent enough to be satisfied with the situation.)

Who is Max Chen? Oh, he's this guy who own Lucky Money, and happens to have invincibility flags so you absolutely cannot kill him (he's crucial to the game plot later).

This is good to know if you want to conserve ammo when the MJ12 troopers storm the place. Just lead them back to your ol' pal Chen, and you can hide under his desk while he single-handedly takes out all those troops on his own.... :cool:
