The good mobius

ok, is there any indication that modius was ever a good guy. I mean, surely when he was first called to be the time guardian he wasnt evil. However in sr2, when raz goes back in time to when janos was still alive, mobius seemed just as corrupted as in later eras. The madness of nupraptor didnt seem to have any effect on him whatsoever. when you see him before and after the corruption of the pillars, there is no difference - even though there is a marked effect on the rest of the guardians!

VERY good point. Something I'd like to add is that if Kain was set on all of the guardians when he came back as a vampire, why then didn't he kill Mobius at that time. I mean if ALL the guardians had to die to restore the pillars and balance, how come Mobius was never even considered to be killed by Kain? It makes one wonder what sort of deal he had going with whoever wanted the original guardians dead. Even though Kain did eventually kill Mobius, but why so much later?:confused:

At Blood Omen 1 Kain tried to kill Malek but he couldn't and he went to Moebius to help him but Kain didn't know that Moebius was a Gurdian because they called him the Oracle and Moebius set a trap to Kain.That's why he didn't kill Moebius.I hope i helped you a bit.

something that bugs me, IMO moebius has always come across as being corrupted, even before ariels murder he appears corrupt so why wasnt his pillar already showing signs of corruption and why didnt ariel pick up on this fact, including any previous balance gaurdians surely as balance gaurdian they must have some sort of sense of corruption in fellow gaurdians otherwise there isnt much point in there being a balance gaurdian in the first place, this also raises the question of y ariel didnt know mortanius had been possessed.

just something id been wondering, i havent played defiance yet due to living in uk so there may be answers for this already

Perhaps we have corrupt Moebius BEING from the future after the circle's madness. He travels back in time, where we see him. There is another Moebius around at that time also, but perhaps a good Moebius - we never see him as there is no need to.

So 2 silly Moebius people in one time :)

Heres an interesting thought for you guys. Remeber that the pillars choose their own ? Who said the pillars chose people who were pure of heart or good people for that matter ? It is strange though that Kain was corrupt and tainted with the TK wave of Nupraptor's madness at the time of his birth. Have you ever heard of corrupt or mad baby ? What did the baby Kain do that would have been so bad - rip of Ken and Barbie's head ? :D One more thing - if Kain was corrupt and tained but when he was re-born why did his corruption remain with him, perhaps it was tied to his soul.....

In Defiance it is made known that the ancients worshiped the Elder God, referring to him as "The Wheel of Fate" Once they were cursed and immortal the pillars took on human guardians, and the EG fell silent to the Vampires. However, he didn't fall silent to the new human guardians, and mobius was one of the first. Under the EG orders and "protection", he started a revolt against the Vamps, and the humans claimed the pillars for themselves.
