Commandos Fan

Hey first off, hi, i'm new nice to be here.

Seondly, I'm a huge fan of the Commandos series and am wondering if i should get the game, becuase i've been reading and alot of you have given the game a slating and that its not as good as the others, so im just wondering with your help should i spend my money on a game thats going to be a disappointment or is it just as good as the others?

Hello General Rick, and welcome to the eidos forums:)

I believe that you should buy the game since you liked the other games. Not only because it is a very good game, but also to support the developers of one of the best game series in the world.

I think that Commandos 3 is just as good as the other games, and if you are a true commandos fan you will not be dissapointed.

It is not good as the C2, that's is for sure. I haven't played C1, but I'm betting it was better than C3. I haven't quite finished the game yet; I just have been playing a mission or 2 every weekend, so I'm almost done. But most of it has been a wretched mess, with only a occasional moment of commandos goodness.

I've been keeping up with all the complaints in this forum, and I would have to say that all of them are justified.

Besides being abrevieted in scope, depth and complexity, compared to C2, with a poor user interface it is rife with bugs like you won't believe. Some people have more than others from install problems on. Wait until or if a patch is produced- probably next year- and see what the comments are then.
