View Full Version : Not AoD: Tomb Raider 2 desktop crash

I know this is the AoD technical forum but there isn't a general technical forum. I'm just looking for some handy advice.

I'm running Tomb Raider 2 under windows XP Pro', if I run it with the compatability settings set to anything other than Windows 95 and I complete a level, the game crashes back to the desktop and dies. I get a message saying something like "RUNTIME ERROR, NEW VERSION OF TOMB2.EXE REQUIRED"
BUT if I have the compatability settings set to Windows 95 then the joypad is disabled in game and I can't really play it on the keyboard.

Does anyone know how I can stop this irritating message from materializing? Any way I can force it to load the next level?

Cheers

RebeL_fARmeR, before I start thinking, confirm that you downloaded and installed the Tomb Raider 2 patch.

Yeah, I did. I assumed the patch would stop this nonsense from occuring... but.

That's why I'm here! :( I've twiddled with a lot of settings but the end result was always the same; precisely zip!
