LEGACY OF KAIN: DEFIANCE
US SHIP DATE INFORMATION

Eidos and Crystal Dynamics are pleased to announce that the North American ship date for Legacy of Kain: Defiance has been moved up one week to November 11, 2003. You should be able to find the game in most stores as early as the very next day, on November 12. Good news for all of you awaiting the day to rip open the shrinkwrap, and unleash your vengeance on the scourge of Nosgoth.

I suppose the European release date will be placed earlier since the original date was 28th November. A week after the original US release date.

I'm truly happy that LOKD is being release on the 11th, but I made a call to gamespot and EB and they have LOKD game coming out on the 19th! Do these game company know the right info on the release date?? I must know cause I'm traveling during that week and I wanna get my hands on it a.s.a.p :D

It often takes them a bit to update their information. Just because they don't know they're getting it on the 12th yet doesn't mean they're not getting it on the 12th.

Do you really have to release it a week early. I think I speak for everyone when I say "We can wait>" :p (yeah right). Actually, Defiance's release may now directly affect my grades. The original plan: Work on my 8-10 page comp paper and get it turned in the 17th, go at midnight and get LOKD, and take off from school for as long as needed. It would've been such a good release after such a stressful time, and I could take out frustrations on enemies (take points off for that Typo will ya.)

Now, I'm gonna have to try and work on my paper while spying the case from the corner of my eyes sitting just a few feet from me. I have enough distractions, I don't need another excuse not to work on this paper. :p I guess CD just wants to know exactly how long I can go without sleep. (let's see, the game comes on the 12th, if I go at midnight, spend all that day playing- I think I could finish, maybe 2 days, I'll get whatever sleep is left over that second day. that gives me the 14,15,16,and a couple hours on the 17th to do the paper. So, 8 pages in 3 days,: thats a little more that 2.5 pages a day, and this would be a revision, so it's just modifying and shouldn't tkae as long....I think i'll be sitting ok after all. To anyone who actually just read my rambling to myself and figuring it out, congratulations, you never really should've made it that far.)

If you pre-ordered it online:

In most cases, all public consumption copies of a product will ship on the same day -- in this case, the 11th. So stores will get it on the 12th. If you specified single-day-shipping, you should get it on the 12th as well; otherwise, you'll get it later.

Pre-order does not mean "You'll get it first." It means "You're guaranteed to get it soon, and don't have to bother with retail stores."

Actually, the moving up of the release date decision was made in a beer induced haze.. :D If you want to send more frilly's and Heinies, I know a certain developer who'd love a Pyramid Heffeweisen! Lol.

Been reading through some of these threads, and while there's been lods of info on when Defiance's released in Europe and the US, I haven't seen anything about when it's going to come to Asia. Any word on that?

i dont know if this forum already answered this or not but does defiance comes out in pc-english because i read some stuff at this site and it said nothing about and english version of pc defiance, but said everything about ps2,xbox,pc-european so i'm worried that three months of savings would have to go to the "buying blood omen 1" jar.

There isn't a US PC release for Defiance planned right now. I'd recommend getting one of the console versions, or importing it from England if you must play it on your PC instead.

I hate to say it but you probably ARE....actually I do remember one other but they don't post very often anymore.

anyway, importing might be your only choise to get defiance anytime soon. Afterall, there's NO news on any non english speaking countries outside of germany that I've seen. Germany have to wait till december, the UK seem to be getting it somewhere in between the US release and the german one but we don't know an official date yet. Asia are probably months away from release. How much later did you get soul reaver 2 and BO2? I'm expecting a similar delay.
The only reason I'm not importing is because the PAL release is only a couple of weeks apart from the USA one so after a week shipping the UK version will possibly be about to hit the shelves (or even already out on them)
lik-sang are good for importing and seeing as they're based in japan you'd be able to get the game quicker then ordering from america..

I know SR2 and BO2 did eventually come into this country, but I don't know exactly when as I only discovered the beauty of LOK through SR2 a couple of months ago.

:( Guess I'll just have to wait. Just thought it would be nice to know when exactly it's arriving here. The suspense/anticipation is killing me.
