Am I the only one who thinks that looks more like Vorador?

there is a screenshot of a creature floating around that looks very similar to that concept art...

Nope....
...personally have harboured for a lo-oong time the idea that
the next great revelation of LoK is that Turel is actually no
other than our dearly beloved, decadent hedonist of the swamp...
reformed, of course.
Or then just the love-child of the person above and Kain...;)

Yours,

That'd be as absurd as those later issues of the GI Joe comics when it turned out that every single plot all sprung from the Snake Eyes / Storm Shadow rivalry.

Or else it'd be genius.

Those images you showed were unused concept art from Soul Reaver, Amy has since confirmed that the original design of Turel has been scrapped.

That design however, resonates in the 3d model of "Morlock" the vampire raziel fights at the tomb of the Saraphan.

first of all, those pics are nothing new. secondly they are turel concept sketches anyway, so there is every chance turel will look like that. They are from Sr1 though. There's every chance they changed him from those sketches.

His appearance resembles Kain... at least on these sketches....

I hope to see "what" he have become in Defiance

We can only hope...

This image looks similar to the concept art, not the same, but still...

Whenever he shows up, it has the potential to be a really awesome plot point. I think he sold Kain out to the Hylden or the EG or something along those lines. Either way, it should turn out to be a really dramatic moment when Kain and/or Raziel run(s) into Turel.

Everyone has such immense hope for what Turel will be, some mastermind of masterminds, and I have a feeling its going to be the exact opposite.

Turel, much like his brothers, has mutated. If Raziel did not kill him at the end of SR1, there is no telling how much time will pass before Raziel confronts him again. He will most likely be as degenerate as his brothers were. A massive hulking beast representative of the powers he would give.

Turel's old concept art showed him as a close relation to the "bat" powers of Kain, thusly Turels "evolution" would be batlike, notice in the old concept sketches he has huge bat-wing ears, well the screenshot of defiance shows a creature with similar ears, as well as elongated forearms and small legs, in all proportions like a bat. Even the folded down wing-stubs against his forearms.

Turel may be second only to Raziel in succession of Kain's power, but he is still like his brothers.

Or at least, that's what I'm counting on.

I said this is what he could look like, not will definatly look like, and i do hope he is better than his brothers.
I also hope he is quite intelligent so we get the most out of him story wise and not just, "I was sent to kill you raziel, you have been fooled, kain has tricked you ha ha ha".
But amy is cleverer than that.

Well turel might be de-evolved or he might not, we'll have to wait and see. The Turelim were there in the maze down to the time steaming device, so it is very likey IMO that Tuel has travelled through it to a different time, And you have to remember Raziels brothers de-evolved due to Nosgoth being sapped of life, (Like Janos in BO2 when he was used to power the Device, Starred of blood and life he de-evolved), so if Turel did travel back in time surely it would have some effect on him (i.e. evolving him into a more Vampire/human way like Vorador and Kain)
Thou the question is Will he be a Help to Raziel or will he be a boss you have to fight?

Well the turelim in SR1 look pretty much like that but remember the way duhah looks and the way his children look, the same goes for well al other brothers. I would have loved to see a Razielim but Kain kind of got there first and didn't make no pictures :)

BTW i like your drawings, they look real good

We don't know that.

Now that Amy has confirmed Kain was acting with a plan and not simply out of spite when he had Raziel tossed into the Abyss, I find it much more likely that he sent the Razielim somewhere they'd be useful and merely led Raziel to believe they'd all been killed. It's not usually like Kain to destroy something that could be useful later.

Well, okay, that last sentence is a lie if we consider the Kain from Blood Omen 1 and 2, but the Soul Reaver Kain has a bit more life experience, yes?

The Razielim, like Turel, are a dangling plot hook for use later. If they don't show up in Defiance, I suspect they'll show up in the next LoK game.

I hope turel isn't just included to allow Raziel to shift at will, I have heard that the elder god has left raziel so he has to find new ways to re-enter to material realm.
Amy said that he has an "important" part to play is the LOK series but that could be just to make raziel more powerful.
I also share the sentiments of spifftastic it will be cool when they meet.

Raziels walking through Nosgoth, (It won't be Kain because he knows what Turel looks like cause he will have seen him while Raz was in the abyss, so there will no shock factor)and he comes across a Creature, back turn to him probably.
Raz: Are you a another of mobieuses lackys creature or another nameless attacker with an order to kill me!
Turel turns: Do you nt recognise me I am your Brother, I am Turel.

(I am not implying that turel has the power to move through realms at will or anything similar so no replys saying how he was not comfirmed to have the power to shift through realms and blah blah).

Where is all this Turel stuff coming from? Can somebody please provide a link.

Have I read this all wrong but has Amy Hennig said that Turel is to play a part in Defiance? where is the evidence - or is this just wishing?

Warp's answers from Amy (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=169)

This was where the first indication of Turel's appearance was mentioned by Amy.

You may also want to give this a look. (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22352)

Although it doesn't confirm either which way, about Turel.
