Legacy of Kain. They said Legacy of Kain......I can speak Spanish! :p (another RvB moment).
I actually speak no spanish (other than a phrase from RvB with a rough translation that warrants its not being posted), but this is supposed to be in the Defiance forums, so yes, I'm looking forward to discussing Defiance too (if that's what you said).

If your native tongue is English, there is no point for you to learn other languages. ( maybe only programming languages).
Everybody speaks English, so you can communicate everywhere.
(although German and French people often pretend that they don't speak it).

Thats assuming the same kind of perspective that forced Tonto to ask the Lone Ranger "What do you mean 'we' are in trouble, pale-face?"
I don't know, I've never heard of Tonto. But, anyway, what's your point?

You've never heard of the Lone Ranger and Tonto?
Looks like it, doesn't it?

Caramba damas y caballeros!
legacy of kain (http://www.legacyofkain.com)
Viva Kain!
:D
(If anybody wants a translation I will be very happy to provide it)

I would like to redirect everyone to the rule thread at the top of the forum and the amendment regarding foreign posts. (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18226)

Recently, there has been an increase in posts appearing in foreign languages. Please note that it is not our intention to discourage the usage of a foreign language in the forums, however as a courtesy to other members, it would be appreciated if you could also provide an English translation in addition to what you choose to post in another language.
We do not want to cast a shadow of inferiority over anyone here in our community, or have a situation to arise where individuals are threatened by what is being said. (I understand that this hasn't happened at this point).
Everyone should be given an equal opportunity to communicate with each other, and we hope this will continue to enable that. We do not want you to feel that you must refrain from posting in another language. I, myself, actually enjoy learning a bit about other cultures and languages. We are just hoping by adding an English translation to your posts, we can reach a happy medium.
If you have any questions, comments or other concerns regarding this (or any other rules above), please bring them to the attention of Chris and/or myself.
Thanks. :)
For any individuals fluent in Spanish, could you please convey this to our new friend, and perhaps point him/her in the direction of a decent translator to assist him/her with communication in our community? (If you would also like to translate anything posted in this thread at this point, it would be appreciated).
I'm afraid that if sufficent translations can't be provided. I will have to close the thread.

This is not a translation of what Umah wrote but i`ll put the idea of what she said.
jjara:
It`s done:D

Thank you for your contribution, Glucolisis. Could you edit your post to include an English translation as the amended rules request?
Thanks. :)
EDIT: Glucolisis' post translated (roughly) through an online translator
The moderator of this forum says that she is not adapted to speak in other languages different from the English, remembers that it is a foreign forum, unless an adapted translation can be written of which it was written in your native language.
The reason of this is that people can think that these wishing the death him or that you are mentioning him the mother or something thus.
So if you can write in English he is the preferable thing.
Of where you are? I am of Dominican Republic.
Glucolisis, it's not just me who can't effectively communicate with foreign individuals. It's not courteous to other members who may not be able to either. The happy medium is an English translation to be provided with all foreign language posts. If this can't be reached, then such posts will not be allowed.
As you can see, the point of my last post has been misconveyed to an extent, and this is exactly what we want to avoid.

DANM, that translation doesn`t mean what i said. I could get in trouble if this would happen with a more delicate subject!:D
Some time later today i`ll translate that the way it is supposed to be.
Another thing, I`m 98% sure that jjara and everyone here can read and understand english, i guess he just tried to find some latino (like me) in this forum.
In the mean time, I didn`t say that it was you who couldn`t speak another language, in my english version i`ll put it the way I meant it.

That's why I've learned not to put my faith into online translators 100%. :p
I also wanted to further clarify on some of my earlier statements. Just as posting in other languages isn't courteous to other members who may not be fluent in them, it's also unfair to the individual using the language, as they may not understand us.
Whether or not that is the case in this situation, (e.g. we can be understood by the thread author), remains to be seen.
