View Full Version : Fully loaded DVD in mail today !!!!!
I dont know if this has been mentioned before but the DVD from eidos arrived today at my house. I havent been able to look at it but will in a few hours. I will let everybody know if it has something new.

I hope I get my DVD soon, I'm interested in seeing what all's on there. Acctually, I just hope O DO get one...I'll be sad if I don't ;-;
Well the trailer for defiance is the same as the one with the 454 music or whatever that music is. The DVD includes previews of backyard wrestling, lara croft angel of darkness, whiplash, legacy of kain, thief III, and two others which I dont recall right now.
I have to say I was kind of dissapointed to know that the trailer was the same one thats going around everywhere. I would have thought that the exclusive eidos dvd would have something new, oh well.

Well you need to consider that the DVD was supposed to be shipped in June. At that time, it would've been a new trailer.
Yep thats all. Its like umah said, but if they were ready then why wait until now to send them ?

you're expecting a bit much from a notoriously unorganized company. nothing against them, mind you, i'm a fan of many of their games. its just it should tell you something when the official company website has outdated news on its own products.... :shrug:

I too was expecting something more.... like, a DVD just with Defiance stuff on...
But hey, hopes are ment to be dashed!
I hope my SF friend gets hers today (I made her sign up with her address as it was only US residents) and then I can have it too!

I forgot all about this DVD. I'm surprised it actually shipped. I was half expecting Eidos to hope everybody forgot, it could have worked. How is the Thief 3 preview? That game should be insane.

Just want to say I got my DVD today.
It says they are going to have anohter one soon with even more footage of the games that are on the one we just got. I think maybe this is something they are going to try and continue to do. Maybe on a qtrly basis I dont know. But I got my disc. Thanks Eidos/CD.

I got home from work like 15 minutes ago, saw the DVD on my bed, immediatly but it in, selected LOK: Defiance, grimaced, watch trailer that I'd seen plenty of times, ejected disk, put Disgaea back in, went online to complain.
Atleast I got to see what it would look like on my TV. Not as visually sharp as I expected but pretty darn good.

Finally got mine in the mail. But I don't want to watch it in fear of being disappointed. I want the Deus Ex: Invisible War and Thief 3 trailer to be good, but I probably already saw them. Anyways, I can't believe it came in the mail. I love getting stuff for free :)

I think everyone pretty much got their DVD today. My two friends who wanted it got theirs too. Instead of complaining about the Defiance trailer (even if it was my favorite one), I'll talk about some thing else. Whiplash looked kinda fun, they just went around destroying stuff. I checked out the Thief 3 trailer too, it looked pretty cool...all shadowy. I guess the DVD did have some use after all.

Good, so they aren't just discriminating against me. ;) I can't wait to check out the Whiplash and Theif 3 stuff. Haven't played Theif yet, but checked out the forums and saw the games and they definately look cool. They are on my list of things to try.

You're definately not alone, Rando. Maybe they're making ours extra special? :p
Thief is a great series. (It definately requires some skill). I picked up the first two installments for the PC. I guess they're going to port the third to the Xbox as well, but for the sake of consistency, I'll stick to the PC version.
You may want to check around, they boxed the first two together and I was able to pick it up for about $15.00.

Yeah, I saw the boxed Thiefs for 20-25 here once, but I didn't have my own comp at the time and didn't really want to put it on the home one. Since then, it's more a matter of time and money. I'll prob get around to it sometime. I'm glad 3 will be on Xbox tho, definately will give that a try.

I got mine too. Same old same old, but I liked what I saw. The Defiance trailer looked nice (although I prefer it on my PC, something about the way it plays on the disc, it looks too 'fast'). And the Thief one was cool, too. My TV is too dark, though. I couldn't see much. I'll pop it into the DVD drive and take it for a spin.
Whiplash looks cool. The way Spanx uses Redmond is funny in a 'Oh, God, that's just not RIGHT!' way. I gotta get it. :p
Stick with the PC version of Thief. The first two are fantastic, and I can't see playing it with a console. Nooope... Oh, and be sure to download the Fan Missions (FM's), some of them are like professional caliber. We've got some talented fans, yes we do... :)

i got mine ther other day was like cool my g/f walked in and gave it t i put it in and watched the defiance video first sadly ive seen it but was coll to see it on my tv:D. cant wait till it comes out iam going nuts i want this game caint wait cant wait can u tell iam really anxious to get this game lmfao verry cool dvd :D. oh yea this is my first time posting here be gentile :p

The Thief3 thing on the DVD was entirely BLACK. I couldn't see anything. :( Sound was creepy, though. :eek:
All of the other previews on the DVD were viewable.

I finally got mine yesterday, I must say that it is pretty disappointing, but considering that its free and Eidos doesn't have to make them, let alone give them away I'm not going to complain about it... and after viewing the trailer on my tv I still say FMV Kain looks better... :D
