upon browsing through my local W H smith store lookin for a mag with the smallist snipit of Defiance in it I came slap bang into a mag with a lovly pic of Raziel plastered acrooss the front of it I snapped it up.
The mag PSI2 had a 7 page special on defiance within it.
Now this mag is a UK mag and it also has a release date for November WWWHHAA HHHAAAAYYYYYY.

There was also an interview with Senior Producer at crystal dynamics Matthew Guzenda and at one point he mentions One of Raziel@s charge up moves will allow him to become invisble.
SSSSSSSWWWWWEEEEETTTTT or what?

Also the guy mentioned all the original cast members will be returning, and that the game will have over 60 minutes worth of voice acting, does anybody know how long the voice acting was for the previous games was the others longer than 60 minutes?

Great! :D It really looks like we'll be getting the deleted Reaver abilities from SR2 in this game!

Well, that's the downside. I recall TLOKS-SR2 having well over 60. Though I'm not entirelly sure.

Thanks for sharing, mate. I just hope that...

... they won't now announce that Kain can go invisible, too... Those two guys now only need their very own special powers, in addition to their already cool (but quite similar) ones.

And, uh... The sad thing also is that...

... LOK-D won't have a traditional FMV sequence... I mean, it's not all THAT bad, since the graphics are almost as good. But... meh... Let's say I can live with that. :)

And I really think they're going for a November release. I mean, wow.

At the moment I'm on this LOK-D hype, too. Heh, could you imagine I saw two dreams where I was playing LOK-D in a row on two nights?

I recall it only being a rumour that there won't be FMV Matt, no-one ever gave me a quote from anyone on CD to say there won't.

The invisible Raziel makes sense, because it's equivalent to Kain's mist form. Kain's mist form also lets Kain phase through gates, which Raziel can do.

I wonder if it's like my AR2 code. The magazine also says the gameplay is 65% combat and 35% puzzles. So that's not a bad ratio. It also explains how the telekinisis works: "Each character has a telekinisis meter which drains as they use a telekinic attack. It recharges over time and as the player progresses through the game, this recharge becomes faster. However the player needs to balance how they use the attack. Simply pushing an enemy away uses a tiny amount of energy. Picking up an enemy and throwing an them onto a spike uses more." Sounds a lot like the grapple move only better. And it's probably been said before, but there's an hour of dialogue in total. There arn't any new screenshots though.

Unless they can make it as good as Doom 3.

What, just 60 minutes?!

In SR2 there were more than 2 hours sequenzes. (I recorded them on a videotape)

Is there really that much in SR2?... It didn't seem like there was 2 hours worth to me... if it is true though, and I'm not saying it isn't then the 1 hour worth in Defiance is going to seem like nothing... :(

I think there's a Bart Simpson quote that perfectly sums up my thoughts on the "not much talking" thing...

"Well that ain't good."

1 hour is actually a lot. It's not SR2 style annoying video though. I can see it being a lot more like soul reaver 1, which is great with me!

I'm SO getting excited now! a UK mag with it on! yeah baby! PSI2 is the one from the AR2 ppl too. is the cover disc any good? maybe a defiance video????

In case it's not the same thing, the guy who was interviewed said there was over an hour of cinematics. So I guess it could be up to an hour and a half. He might not have even included those bits where it explains new abilities and stuff, but I don't know. Or maybe Amy hasn't decided whether to put certain parts in yet.

hmmmmm.

My smiths obviously isn't as good as yours.

I went down to serveal news agents and smiths and I couldn't find any magazine by the same name or with anything on the cover by defiance. :(

**Jeffers wonders where he can get a magazine with defiance in it**

I have to say that an October 31st release would be somewhat appropriate.

SR2 had over 2 hours of cut scenes yes but u can't forget that alot of those 2 hour scenes would have been Raziel narrating what he see's like in the Swamp and certain puzzles... He wasn't always talking to other characters in the story...

On the bad side one of my fears for this game was less talking more "Kill em all" and it looks like its coming true with only 1 hour of cut scenes... I hope thats story and doesn't include narration like SR2 when Raziel see's something and explains what he see's or his feelings... :(

SR2 was more talk than play, anyway. An hour of dialogue is alot, believe me. That's like having an hour long conversation between a bunch of very talkative, very opinionated people. And if you think about it, that's what the characters are.

So an hour is alot.

FLYYYYYYYYYY FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! :D

YES!! Same voice actors... :D Perfect... I've been worrying over that for a LONG time.. Now I can stop worrying... :) Lots of dialogue, too. That's a good thing, so long as it doesn't take too big a bite out of game time. The new abilities sound really cool, too.

What would be really cool if that hour's worth of dialouge was wrong. Instead of it being overall, it means per character.
