I have a Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB and had a frustrating time when I first installed TRAOD.
It would start up and the menus would be ok (usually), FMVs - fine, but then when the actual game started the screen was either nearly totally black or totally white and completely unplayable.
Anyway I restarted the game enabling each of the gfx setup options 1 at a time (on that note, I find it really frustrating having all these hardcore gfx options with absolutely no explanation given for any of them - eg 'Query', 'Pure Device', what do all of these do?). The problem turned out to be Framerate Compensation option - turn it off!
After removing that one switch (enabled by default and sounds more harmless then some of the other options) it all worked fine and I was able to max out and check all the other settings and have AA and AF maxed out in my card's settings with no probs.
So anyway I thought I would try and save other people a bit of time if they are having the same problem - try disabling Framrate Compensation first.
