I played C2 ages ago and yes the viewing control does seem off at first until you actually sit down and use the controls for a while.
After some time they become second nature.

Its nice to see a developer NOT put out sequels by rote and to experiment.

If you mean the Alt+Arrowbuttons yeah they were a bit off but
really handy....

And if you mean the + and - on the numpad then they were verry cool indeed ;)
