Does anybody know how?....the stahov fortress

Hi everyone!

In the beginning, when Lara enters the strahov fortress,
she manages to get up onto the container and moved to the next area.Are you with me so far?
There she gets rid of three guards.
My question to you is........
In this area I've found two moveable crates and a lever
of a lift that brings a crate down from storage.
Can anyone please tell me what to do with the two crates, if anything.
And secondly what to do with the storage "lift" one.

I found your boxes and the lift. I don't think that they serve any useful purpose. If you lower that box on the lift and then to climb on it, Lara dies, so that is not a good thing.

The movable boxes can aid the climb up to the broken ladder, but they are not needed because Lara can jump up two boxes. From that stack that is four boxes high, she can jump to the railing above. I hadn't noticed that before. I jumped for the broken ladder.

The first time I went through here, I didn't ride the container, but went over the wall and bypassed the three guards. I didn't need the pass that you get from one guard here.

Yes I also got into the fortress the other way,
the first time I played the game.
Now I am playing the game for the second time.
I managed to get onto the container and was lifted
over and into the first room.
I was just wondering about these crates, because
I would like to figure out their purpose.
But thanx anyway.
Maybe someone else has a new idea about them?:D

Maybe this was part of a puzzel, but they left it out for some reason and put crates under the ladder. :confused: I don't know what else it could be.
