Speech Problems!

I recently bought Deus Ex for the PC and I have some really bad problems with the sound. The music and the sound effects work fine, but the speech is extremely stuttery and jerky. I am running with the latest drivers for my Avace AC97 card, and the game is the patched game of the year version.

Any ideas?

Try to adjust your sound boxes.If thats not workingtry to check the ingame menu in DX maybe you have to change the speech volume.
