Sound issues?

On Deus Ex I get really bad sound. It crackles constantly, and regularly the sound just cuts out altogether. Sometimes this happens every couple of minutes. The only way to solve it is to quit and reload the game, which can get annoying every two minutes.

I have an onboard sound card, and I've tried changing all the settings in Deus Ex, but the problems are always the same.

What's wrong, and how do I fix it?

You should check with your computer manufacturer to see if there are any driver updates for your sound card.

Are you having problems in any other applications (other games, software, etc)?

No, everything other than Deus Ex works fine.

I'll look for any driver updates and see what I can find.
