the game won't run!

i installed tomb raider the angel of darkness succesfully but if i want to run the game i get this error: SYS_ERROR_D3D_CREATE_DEVICE
i saw this error by technical probloms read this first but i don't get it.
i don't know what to do so please help me!!:confused: :(

You need to tell us something about your computer. This happens when your graphic, your sound card or your drivers are outdated.

If you believe your hardware should be able to handle the game, update graphic and sound drivers.

how do you updat graphic and soundrivers because i cheack the box of the game and my computer is able to handle it

First you have to find out what graphic and sound card your computer has. Use the DXDiag tool as described in the Technical Problems thread.

Once you know what cards you have, you go to the manufacturers websites (e. g. www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com) and download the latest drivers for those devices. They usually come as self installing exe files which you simply double click.

After updating your drivers you need to reinstall DirectX from the game CD again.

when i go to the dxdiag tool and then to sound i see this:

and some other thing but how do i know what kind of card i have

I hit this too when I run the game for the first time. But after I changed in the setting the resolution from 1024x768 to 640x480, it works. I don't know if it works for you.

However, after I finished the first 2 levels, in loading the 3rd level (industrial roof tops) the game keeps showing 'Please insert disk 1' even through the disk is already there.
