Playstation 2 Online Games

Will it cost money to play playstation 2 games online? I heard it will not, but I may be wrong.

I could be wrong on this, but this is what I heard so far:

Sony will not charge for access to their online gaming service.

BUT:

The games producers may charge for using their game online each time.

Thus if you want to play 3 online games, all by different publishers/producers....that will be 3 separate payments.


By contrast, Xbox Live will consist of one payment up front (annually) and then you're away.

yup, that is the same thing I heard in the offical playstation magazine. I bet squaresoft is going to charge people for playing FInal fantasy XI.
