HI,
I recently got Soul reaver 2 on the PC (ive played Blood Omen 1 and Blood Omen 2 before) and im stuck already in the 'light forge' i think that is the areas name.

The bit im stuck at is were you walk through a gate in spectral form and Raziel looks around the room and gives a hint on how to get to a ledge (the exit of this room) by jumping on one pillar then onto a slightly bigger pillar to get to the ledge.

I jump on the small broken pillar part, then onto the pillar itself, then i glide across to the second slightly bigger pillar but I cannot seem to get to the ledge, i always fall short no matter what I do.

Ive treid high jump then glide across, ive even tried to run around in a little circle to give some momentum before jumping and trying to glide across onto the ledge but i cant make it, its driving me insane!
any help would be appreciated.

If I understand where you are:
Phase through the gate to enter the large yard.
There is a pillar directly ahead of you. Get up on top of it.
There is another pillar of similar height nearby. Glide over to it.
Turn around and see a much higher and large pillar. This pillar appears to have some kind of platform on it. Jump/glide over to it and get up on it.
Turn and face the large hallway that is on the second floor of the building.
Jump and glide to the hallway.
Run to the far end of the hallway to find the portal.
Switch the material form and return to the large yard.
Immediately below the hallway entrance that overlooks the large yard is a block that you can pull out of the wall. Pull it out.
Get the dark reaver from the font.
Climb up to the hallway using the block.
Return to the area where you found the portal. Be sure to stay in material form so you don't lose the dark reaver.
Use the dark reaver to activate the dark bridge. Run across the bridge and continue.
