Looks like our postcounts are no longer visible.
Interesting, no?

Stupid petitioners in the stupid Community Chatboard. Stupid stupid stupid.
But the count's still in our profiles.
I read that topic from the beginning....no oldtimers wanted it but the newbies really wanted it. No matter...I'll swap post count for my old date of entry back...December 1999.

Actually post counts no longer raise in the profile, they raise in the search for all posts area, but not profiles, on top of that removing the post counters from the members names seems to have cut post counts members had down a bit. the top 10 posters area under members is now quite inaccurate, and will also no longer change, because it goes by the post counts in the persons profile which no longer raise, not by the posts in the search for posts area.

Well, since postcount flaunting is not really possible anymore, why not move to sigs/banners? ;)

These bureaucrats spoil every fun you can have in this place. Least they could do is enable Avatars.
Oh well at least I have one.
Besides, even though it kinda sucks, we still have our registration date. And on that note I'm very pleased to announce that I registered Jun 2002 which is the earliest registration date unlike Arkron who registered Jul 2002.
Owned j00 muahaha
I thought we could ask grey mouser for our original dates...like back into 1999 for some of us. So I asked, but so far no response. Oh well, patience is a virtue, so they say, whoever the H*** "they" are who come up with those stupid truisms.
I went and looked at my profile...talk about a big time rip off! I had over 250 posts the last time I looked, probably more. "They" give me credit for 120...boooooooo. I should well be on that top ten poster's list!
Do we have some kind of deliberate discrimination going on here, people? First on the old eidos they took away my nearly 2500 post count just because I tried to change my address. Now this?
Don't anyone dare to say it...She knows Dell is whining again. Well, when you are clearly being treated badly, you have a right to complain.

Yea.... I noticed that I had 60 post count last time. Then I had 44 and I said "what the heck? why is my postcount getting down?" Then a minute later, it's completely gone.
Oh well.
Bring my registration date back to September 23, 1999, darn it!

Posts in Community Chat don't add to your post count anymore. They also subtracted from your count 1 post for every post you had made in there. That's why I went practically unaffected.

Haha... so you got your registration date back eh? Well I'm way to lazy to whine at the admins... besides it's just so much more l33t if someone thinks of me as a newbie while I'm not. :p

Cool.. Dell's at Dec 1999 now :)
Can I have that too? Pretty please? I orignially registered at Dec 1999 as well (and yes, that was faster then you Amazeroth muwhahahah :D )

No postcounts = no status :(
Why did they have to remove them? What's the point in that? To discourage spamming?
That certainly won't work! *SPAM*!
Postcount +!

Did you try asking?
Ask who?
You?
or someone else?
and with the disappearance of the post totals, will I be called junior forever? ;) or are the tallies kept in an undisclosed secret identity type location that's known only to you?
Hope you wrote it down.....

Ask Grey Mouser to have him change your reg date back. Your post count is still listed in your profile.
Hey! Did you say MAY of 1999 3car? Wouldn't that make you one of the oldest if not the oldest of our FFVII forum members?
Wow! When did this forum actually start up, Moggraider?
He needs his starting date back! Yes he does!
Japan, 3car? I thought it would be England next??? Or The Netherlands?

Hmm . . . looks like I missed this while I was gone
I think I shall have to ask for my old registration date of June 2000.
---edit---
I'm still not sure I like this new banner . . . there seems to be something missing.

Give the young man a lollipop! It was April 15-22 1999 when the old Black and Yellow Eidosgames forum first appeared. That is when I registered, but now my new registration is March 2002. I feel three years younger! At my age that is wonderful. Who would have thought, an online forum really is a fountain of youth!:p

Yeah, PM'ing GM (like I told you to do) would be a good idea, I think.

Yay for Redlegg! :)
You told me to? Told me to do what? PM GM? Who is GM?
Careful or this'll turn into 20 questions and you might have a hard time gettin' the correct answers. Then you wouldn't get a 100 on your test and then you might get grounded and not be able to have chocolate mousse for dessert. Then your girlfriend might find out you're less than perfect and dump you for someone like SirCanealot. Then if that happened, we'd all have a good laugh. Maybe not laugh but something like, oh, snicker... :)
After wasting Eidos precious typing ink, I look at a few of the above replies and posts and sure enough; Moggraider was doin' his job and so was everbody else. All that pickin' on Maggroider for nothin'. Dadgumit.
Hi Dell-
Griever's was here before me, he's just changed his name a few dozen times.
be hanged

Hmmm...
Maybe I should get mine fixed too.
vakusuma-
that -hmmm- sounds like severe contemplation. better you just take the Nestea plunge, a good idea in Texas, and demand Redlegg return you to your past glories. Nicely of course.
And what the heck are you doing down here in the land of summertime heat and mosquitos?

Heh, plunge? After all the rain that's been pouring like crazy around here? *shudder* I think I've had about enough of those 6 inches on the road...
Got myself a job around here, if you can believe that...

I think mine was Sept '99. I still remember seeing FF7 on the shelves for the PC, and thinking, "Just another lame console to PC port". It took me quite a while before I broke down and bought it. The 19.99 price was what convinced me. I had no idea what FF was. I thought it was a Fighting game, like Mortal Combat or something.
So when I got it, that's what I was expecting. Boy was I in for a surprise.
Guess that's why I never left the board.....well. I did lapse for about 4 months, between December of '99 to about April of '00.

I don't really care much about the post count, but won't it slow down the visitors to this forum from posting as much as they did before? beside many of the members seen to be doing it for a race to the top of who had the most post! Oh well like I said don't matter to me. By the way did I say that am keeping my owned count. :D
