I don't know exactly where to post this, but I understand that those little thingies that follow your pointer around on some of the sites you visit are specially created by Java or something and are totally site specific.

In other words, my question is could one of these be created and freely used wherever you might want to use it, rather than being site specific?

Doesn't the driver have that as an option? Microsoft's does.

Yes, but that simply leaves ghosts of your current pointer every where you go. I think what he's talking about is having pointer trails that look different from your pointer itslef (which M$ doesn't do)
