Glad you like it. No worries on leaving it there for now. I cleared a load of old pictures off the server this evening and made a bit of room there.

I believe that you must select 'Show Sig' to make it appear. This is a good idea as, otherwise, the sig will appear in every post and take up vast amounts of space on Eidos' server. The generally accepted custom is to only show your sig pic in the first post made in any topic. It should then be left out on any subsequent postings. :)

I change sig pics often, and collect them from the very first one on. Very nice to go back and look how my tastes have changed during the last three years or so!

This is the newest one. I always try to keep a theme running through them linking the picture with the inscription. Personally, I love this one!

Ever think of putting up a display of old ones in a kind of gallery? Some of them are fascinating...like my blue lady entitled "Feeling Blue?" or the wicked smiling girl titled "Innocent Malevolence".

And Basingstoke, Hampshire? The 'ring-around-the-rosie' city? I get lost every time I go there!

A gallery does sound like a nice idea - I have copies of all the sigs I have created - I have only done one for myself and that is the one in the first post of this topic. Another good reason for a gallery would be to showcase the artwork.

Lord Croft : I can remove most of the white but some of the image is being left behind in the lara figure on the left. Also, there is still some residue of the background white around the name. The only way I can do this properly is if you can supply me all the element that make this sig up, I can re-process it without the background. I will also need either the fonts used for the wording or the wording in a picture file without the glow effects.

No can do on the fonts cause I edited a Tomb Raider wallpaper to get my name (took me quite some time to do it). And the animation was done with Animation Shop 3 frame by frame with resized animations from larainmotion.com. I can post a link to them if you want but I'd rather if you edited the two frames where Lara stands sideways if you can.

Staticon, I was wondering if you could make a slight change to my sig.

Someone gave me this really awesome idea, and I think it's look sweet. Could you maybe change the background color, so that it has like a water effect to it?? Like, the 'clear waters of the Caribbean' to quote Dagger of Xian. lol Or, if you look at the bottom of a pool, and you can see all the ripples on the bottom......

I think I really confused myself in what I wanted to say, but I hope the main idea got across. Do you think you could do it for me?

That would be acceptable since the signature as it stands is only 450x120 and you are permitted 450x150 inclusive of text. ;)

So, I have Photoshop 6, but have not worked with it at all (my brother got me a free copy), is it hard to learn how to do this? Would it work for email - as in Outlook? Photoshop is a very capable program. It has features which go way beyond my limited capabilities. I have been using it for about five years and have found most of the functions I use by just playing with it.
There are also several magazines which have tutorials on use of Photoshop. These have also been useful.
I'm fairly sure that there must be some books around for beginners as well.
It is fairly complex to start with and may not be the easiest package to master but, once you start getting into it, you will not want to use any other graphics software IMHO. :)

I actually got conscripted at work last week to give four Photoshop classes

I am happy to host sig pics at the moment. If you have your own web space, it may be better to put your sig pic there as my bandwidth is limited and the more sigs I host, the slower they may appear.

It takes a while to get used to but, as I've said before, once you get into it, you will never want to use any other graphic manipulation software. :)
