Alright TR fans.

So some of us love it, some of us hate it, some of us have beat it and some of us don't have it yet?

While the forums are always going to be here for us to vent, no one can say whether the people that really need to read our opinions are checking out the boards or not.

Sooo...I say let's start emailing Core our ideas!!

And Sony?

Eidos just rushed the game out..they didn't make the game so they aren't that relevant....plus they're too scared to put their direct email addresses out there..but...

Jeremy Heath-Smith
Global Head of Development

He's on the Corporate Management Team at Eidos so he'd be the one to email on the Core page...

Why email Sony? They made the PS2 that's dominating the industry right now. haha. The glitch problems with AOD are due to bad game design, not the hardware.

I'm not bothering with the small fry, I am emailing Santa Claus himself and giving him a piece of my mind!!! I was expecting a game under my tree last year!

All these whining threads make it seem as if the companies in question actually owe you people something. Well, they don't. They are selling a product, that's all. If it slips it's release date, you can always buy something else in the interum. People are acting all insulted and stuff, and I'm sick of it. Disappointment I understand, but this trend of ill-wishing and anger is un-called for. So take a pill and get a life.

Core was supposed to finish AOD last year, but the game obviously sucked at that time. Fortunately, Eidos had a couple big sellers going in Timesplitters 2 and Hitman 2 so they could let AOD slip into 2003 without pissing off their shareholders too much.

So Eidos gave Core a spring 2003 deadline. When it came and went (with bugs still in the code), Eidos rationalized it by noting that there would be a TR movie coming in the summer, and surely it made sense to have a parallel release.

However, it now seems that Core pissed away those extra months too! Either they are incompetent programmers, or they used the extra time to add features or gameplay when they should have been removing bugs from the game.

Eidos is now in a quiet period in their release schedule, their financial quarter is ending, and the movie is imminent ... so yeah, they're saying "ship it now, no excuses!" Meanwhile, Core is probably saying "we're not ready" and they're scrambling to cover the things that they should have addressed months ago.

Yea, no joke. I'd post his email if I had it!!!

Well, I think it's fair to say Core designs owes us a decent Tomb Raider game if they're going to charge us up to $50 for it. We can't help TR6...but maybe we can have 'some' influence over future games..but only if we provide feedback now.

Every moment we don't say anything makes TR7 and TR8 that much more sucky! That's right, I said sucky! It's not ill-wishing or anything. I just think venting on the boards while theraputic, has it's limits.

Bottom line: The creators of the games should at least know how we feel and from past TR games I think it's pretty obvious they either have no clue, or don't care what we think. So let the ball be in their court or release some type of 'statement' to us.

I could have used that 50 bucks for something else!

While I agree with your idea of feedback, that it is important for companies to know if the product they are selling is sucky or not, I think an e-mail bomb campaign is all that would be accomplished at this point in time, after all, the game is only out in the US at the moment.

I am not arguing with your thoughts of customer input at all, but feelings are high at the moment, and the baby wanting a soother mentality is rampant. Have you ever been shopping when someone's child was whining and crying at the top of it's lungs the whole time? I can't go anywhere anymore without that sound coming from somewhere! I get the same teeth grating feeling in these forums lately....well, for months now.

I have been patient with the child-minds on this board, but today I just wanted that to stop. ;) I also know I won't get my wish. My ire is not directed at you in particular, you were just lucky enough to get my response, hehehe. :p

"Can we move along a bit ?!" - Lara :o

...We all know what is up with this madness, I don't think why should we complain anymore, the game is out, can you people just play the game already,! (except for PC and UK raiders).
I'm tired and sick of it, there is a limit always. EIDOS tried to cross it wit AOD and created huge delayed, you should be more understanding than that, PLEASE !

anyway, i was waiting for the game so long that i guess i just stopped caring. i'm going to wait a few more weeks and see if there are any major bugs that they end up fixing on another press of the game (like they did with project eden!!!! -- or did they fix that? i don't even know) and well, just see how it pans out. i still have my toys r us gift card.... but no money for the strategy guide! :\ (slide trombone: wah wahhhhh)

RedLegg, is that really exactly what happened?

If so, is it that reason there are bugs? Do they not have enough programmers? Is it having a deadline? Do they need more caffiene?

Or, is there some other reason that they didn't get all the bugs out?

Back before the industrial revolutions, craftmen created beautiful works of art, that machines aren't able to reproduce. Individual works of art often took a great deal of time.
Even today, long lasting detailed quilts must be made by hand. Most standard modern furniture for the common household is weak and disposable.

Perhaps, deadlines aren't always a good thing.

What you are referring to about modern things is programmed obsolence. Which leads to mass consummerism and a "healthy" economy.

{please forgive any misspelling

Although I'm far from being Amish, that way of doing things worries me. It seems like a terrible waste of resources.

Have you ever been shopping when someone's child was whining and crying at the top of it's lungs the whole time?

Hey, if I had been waiting for my milk bottle for 3 freaking years and the milk was sour, you bet I'd be pretty whiny. If you don't have it yet, just wait till you get it, THEN tell us about not being whiny. haha

I think you'll be crying for that pacifier like the rest of us. haha

Actually eidos did kinda owed the game to people coz they were quite happy to take the pre-orders.

Or is the pre-ordering done without Eidos's permission by game sellers. Well someone owed us the game(kinda).

 -->puny human, surrender or die
:eek: -->we surrender
:cool: -->not so fast *BANG*

(its irrelevant, but mcbane rocks)
