Help: Tomb of Ancients

I'm in the tomb of ancients in the room(s) where darts shoot from the walls and the door closes behind me. I don't pull the lever first, go to the other side and find a door with a gate in front. Seems to be no way to open it or do anything else in these rooms.

However, I went back and pulled the lever then spikes come out of the middle "doorways" but I don't see that anything else happened and the door is still closed.

Any ideas?

By the way, I still don't have dual pistols...did I miss it somewhere?

I had this problem at first also. I was trying to be carefull & backflip over the spikes. It's timed, so you have to pull the lever & get to the door as quick as possible because it will close.

The easiest way to get through this is to load up on health, save the game, pull the lever, then just run through the darts (they don't poison as they did in other versions of TR)....right before you get to each sideways spike trap, jump! You should make it through. Remember to save once through the door.

Thanks all. I didn't realize the door was actually open while I was jumping around. Made it through...now in Breath of Hades.
