Legality of posting screenshots in your website

I did a search and couldn't come up with anyone who asked the question before. So I will ask it now.

Does anyone know if its legal or not to take screenshots out of the game and put it on your website?

--I would like to take screenshots of the mapmaker and inside the levels as you play it.--I would take a direct digital shot, not a picture of the screen.--I think I have the equipment for direct digital captures. Thoughts or an answer would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm... As far as I can recall, I don't think you'll be sued for posting screen shots on your private, non-profit web site.

But then again, I'm no lawyer..

Well it never hurts to ask. I would guess that most people don't think about those kinds of things. But I like to know for the purpose of knowing what is right and wrong. I think I might just put the pics into my website and see if anybody complains :)
